Thanks for the feedback and we're sorry to hear if you're not satisfied with the bass of the headphones. You have to consider the source that you're playing when it comes to bass sound. We're so sorry to hear if an earache occurs when putting on our WF-L900 LinkBuds and they did not fit you well causing them to fall out. This is definitely not the customer experience we want you to have. The LinkBuds may fall out or feel uncomfortable during use if you don't wear the LinkBuds properly or the ear fitting supporters are not correct for your ears.

• Check that you are wearing the headset properly in your ears.
• If you feel the size of the fitting supporters does not fit your ears, change the fitting supporters to another size that fits your ears better.
• After attaching the fitting supporter, check that there is no movement on the LinkBuds. (Shake your head back and forth.)
Note: If they fall off or move in your ears when you shake your head, select a different size. The best fitting supporter may be different for each ear.
• If you wear the headset for a long time, your ears may start hurting. Use the headset while taking breaks periodically.

While we're glad you like the open-ring design, we're sorry you've been running into difficulty. We'd love to troubleshoot this and make this a better experience for you. The Sony LinkBuds support the use of one unit by itself. In this case, only the unit that has been removed from the charging case will turn on. Even if you are using only one unit of the headset, you can play music with the unit you are wearing. However, when Service Link is turned on with the “Sony | Headphones Connect” app, use the right unit of the headset. You cannot use only the left unit of the headset.

We also recommended updating the firmware of the headphones (via the Sony Headphones Connect app) for optimum performance.
