However, even after changing the different ear pieces to get the best fit, there wasnt one that would hold long enough to actually be useful. We’d love to help you troubleshoot your problem to make sure your LinkBuds is great. The LinkBuds may also fall out or feel uncomfortable during use if you don't wear the LinkBuds properly or the ear fitting supporters are not correct for your ears.
• Check that you are wearing the headset properly in your ears.
• Select a different size fitting supporter and align the protruding part of the LinkBud with the cutout on the fitting supporter. Make sure to insert the fitting supporter completely.
• After attaching the fitting supporter, check that there is no movement on the LinkBuds. (Shake your head back and forth.)
Note: If they fall off or move in your ears when you shake your head, select a different size. The best fitting supporter may be different for each ear.

Great sound and design, but poor battery life.

My only issue is battery life. It is extremely poor. I’ve only had these for about a month and at first I was getting just about 3hrs, now it’s about half of that. For the price its not worth it.

This is definitely not the experience we wanted you to have.
For the battery life, the available operating times of the headset with the battery fully charged are as follows:
• Bluetooth connection
Music playback time (AAC): Max. 5.5 hours
Music playback time (SBC): Max. 5 hours
• About 90 minutes of music playback is possible after 10 minutes charging.
• If you set the following functions, the available operating time of the battery becomes shorter than the ones described above.
- DSEE™
- Equalizer
- Speak-to-Chat
- Function to launch the voice assist function by your voice
- Service Link
- Adaptive Volume Control
Notes:
• If you run the above settings at the same time, the available operating time of the battery becomes even shorter.
• Depending on the settings for the headset functions and usage conditions, the speed of energy consumption for the rechargeable battery may vary between the left and right units. However, this is not a malfunction.
• When you have finished using the headset, be sure to set the headset in the charging case. If the headset is placed in the pockets, etc., the headset recognizes that the headset is worn, and it may turn on by mistake.

As an audiophile I appreciate when devices have wires but these are just outstanding. Bluetooth performance isn't amazing; you will definitely want to keep your phone in your pocket when using these. Sound is a solid 8/10. Fit is a bit awkward at first but once you get the position down they just disappear. I've done as much as run with these in all the way down to sleeping with them. The main feature of these is what will make or break these. If you want the ability to block out outside noises AT ALL do not buy these. They definitely block some noise (you are shrinking the opening to your ear canal after all) but it's no where near the level as say airpods, which suck in terms of isolation. I've worn these while mowing, on a plane, and while vacuuming and every time I switched to a different pair of headphones. Buy these if you need to hear your surroundings. The best use case for these is fitness imo. (The clip on the battery case is a fantastic feature for this reason).

I wanted ambient noise for running outdoors. The models I've owned with mocs that pic up sounds over exaggerate wind and similar outdoor elements. These were perfect for my wishlist. It took me a week to get the fit right. After a few weeks, I am impressed. Music sounds great, the app is stable and the equalizer works well. I listen to various music types mostly on apple music, bass is present, vocals and instruments reproduce nicely. Wireless calls are clear and my voice can be heard. The Bluetooth connection is also stable. I have not used all the features such as ms teams integration or analyzing the ears for spatial audio. I did turn off the extended tap range, I tap the earbud rather then my face and it works well. I wiped my face while running and it would get sensed as volume or track skip. These are an excellent option if comfort and ambient noise are priorities. Obviously, if you want noise canceling these are not yours.

I feel like they tear through the battery life and the case only charges them 1.5 times. They also DO NOT stay in my ears. Especially if I’m eating food and eating food also pauses and starts songs. And today I was brushing my teeth and it fell out of my ear and went straight down the drain. It’s gone. So now I have one ear bud and the case. Great. I think they need to redesign them to have a bit of a conical shape with an angled hole. Irritating that they fall out so easily. None of the different sized ear pieces are nearly firm or large enough for my ears , my sons ears, or my buddies ears. Must be made for smaller ears.

Doesn’t hurt when wearing, there is no insert into your ear. Sound quality is amazing especially with the bass. I can still hear the world around me as well as my music. Been using it since August and use it daily at my work. It holds a charge pretty decent. And the case charges fairly quick. There is a downside if you have alot of ear wax development. It tends to stick to the open center hold area of the buds. They seem pretty durable. I highly recommend using this if you like to have quality sound and the ability to hear your surroundings. Much better than the other devices like bone conduction.

If the headset is not worn properly in your ears, you may not obtain proper sound quality or volume. The LinkBuds may also fall out or feel uncomfortable during use if you don't wear the LinkBuds properly or the ear fitting supporters are not correct for your ears.

Love the buds, hate the battery life

I can wear them and hear everything around me. They don't insert into the ear canal, so they are the most comfortable buds I've ever used. The sound is also pretty good, given the open bud design. The biggest grip is the battery life. It's just not good. a couple hours of talk time and that's it. They could have benefited from just a slightly larger bulb for a good jump in battery life. Sadly, these may be the only time we see a bud like this. The new version is just a regular bud, same as the rest. If they ever release another, I will be excited to buy it.

Depending on the assignment of the touch sensors and/or the Voice Assistant setting, you may only be able to use one unit of the headset. The following issues may occur due to specific settings in the Sony | Headphones Connect app.
• There is no sound when using only one earbud (headphones).
• The headphones disconnect when putting one side back in the charging case.
• The Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa™ feature doesn't work when using only one earbud.
• The Touch Sensor Control doesn't work when using only one earbud.
To resolve the issue, check that the touch sensors are setup up in the Sony | Headphones Connect app to support the use of one earbud at a time.
Note: When the Service Link feature is turned on in the Sony | Headphones Connect app, only the Right side can be used alone. You can't use only the Left side by itself

Don't listen to some of the other reviews

They are intended for being an earbud that you wear all day. Other reviews that say the fit is weird or uncomfortable is fair and will be different per user, but the high fidelity reviews are stupid. Thats like saying youre mad that your Kia isnt as fast as a Lambo, just dumb. These are intended for being able to listen to music at any time of the day and still carry out conversarions easily. Had these in during a school lecture, heard everything fine and passed the time. It still does seem like a Beta product, but if you like the concept like I do and you rwad this far, then I would honesrly recommend you get them and just make sure you try at a good fit with the other rings.
