They are made better and stronger. The cords are thick and well made. The sound quality is the best that I have heard. They seem to be louder than other ear buds. Great price. I would buy these as a gift for someone.

The various sized inserts are great, and I found what worked for me quickly. The cord is long and mostly tangle free, good choice if you want to avoid bluetooth.
