Best wired headphones I've ever used. I'll continue to buy these as long as they keep making them.

I like these Sony earbuds, so far. I found them to be a little uncomfortable at first but once I switch the earbuds. It was so much better with comfort. It comes with 4 changeable earbuds: SS, S, M and L. If these are painful, I recommend changing the earbuds to what is comfortable for your ears. The sound is good for music. I can answer, hang up, mute calls with these earbuds. I like the length. I happy with these, right now. But if these last for awhile. Then I'll give it five stars. Til' then.

So I remember getting these when I was 19 to replace some old extra bass headphones I had that lasted 5 years. I am now 25, and they still pump out as the first day I've bought them. They have been yanked and pulled. They have been dropped as well. Still the quality is just as new. Drowns out almost all noise, but paired with a good DAC and you're good to go. I always pair these headphones with most of my LG cellphones that have a Quad DAC and I feel that it really allows for the full potential of these headphones. As I mentioned the quality of sound is awesome and the reliability of these headphones are "Sony". The name alone should tell you that these headphones will last the test of time. Honestly I got them at $60 when they first came out. For $29 now, it will be a steal! Give them a try, and you will understand why they are worth the price!!!

I got these guys for $26.99 and as always Sony always makes a great product. The bass is extremely nice indeed and they don't drown out the mids or highs which are also very nice. If you're looking for a pair of earbuds that are a nice replacement for your iPhone earbuds look no further. They fit comfortable in the ear and I wear them for hours at a time with no pain like others have reported I even sleep with them in to give you an idea of the comfort. It is true you can hear a little bit of noise through the wires if you tap them but what else do you expect from earbuds that are firmly suctioned inside your ear it becomes an extension of your ear. The weight isn't to bad either not as light as the iPhone ones but iPhone earbuds don't produce this sort of sound. I listen to all sorts of music from rock, metal, rap, dance, classical, jazz, new age, oldies, alternative and every genre sounds amazing in them. You won't be disappointed trust me if you're not are just send them back but I doubt there's another pair of earbuds out there for this price with this quality. By the way the cord is plenty long the only thing I'd like is a volume up and down button but that's ok.

These are an awesome sounding set of ear buds. That is if you like good bass. They're not wireless and aren't produced by Dre but these are my go to buds for the gym, yardwork, etc. Can't recommend them enough. For a pair of wired earbuds I doubt you'll find better without spending a good chunk more. They are loud, clear, distortion free, with plenty of bass. Buy them...now.

The sound quality of these buds is good. The part that is not so good is that they do not fit very well because of the metal part on the back of the ear pieces. The buds are heavy and will fall out if you turn your head the wrong way. I have tried changing the size of the cushion to no avail. They just don't seem to go in far enough to stay.

These Sony earbuds are by far and away the best earbuds I have ever owned. After getting a headache from a very cheap set of earbuds with the worst sound, I decided that my ears are worth the investment. I am sure glad I did. Thereis no comparison between these earbuds and all others I have ever used. The sound is very crisp and clear and the bass is intense yet enjoyable. They have really enhanced my music listening experience for the best. I feel so happy wnen I hear music with these earbuds. I only regret I wasted time and money on cheap listening devices. I am sure these will last much longer. The only con I can report is that the earbuds could be more comfotable as they don't fit quite right. The sound quality definately makes up for that; I feel like I am rediscovering music.

For those who don't want to spend a ridiculous price on Earbuds, this is a great compromise. Very reasonable price and it sounds amazing. The fit is comfortable and durable. No tangling and easy-to-store.

After being disappointed with ear buds and in need of a new pair, I picked up these MDR-XB50AP. I assume the XB in the model stands for eXtra Bass. Totally satisfied, amazing clarity and finally some buds with deeeep smooth hard hitting bass. I had owned Maxtronic buds, a top pick on that other online shopping website {amzn..}, which were a few $ cheaper. These Sony buds are wayyyy better. Cannot imagine why anyone would spend three digits on overpriced brands like Beats or Bose.

I was using my iPhone earbuds for gaming on the PS4 and my friends told me my mic was making a shrieking sound. I picked these up and was surprised at the quality of the bass. No more shrieking, bass hits nicely, and they block sound pretty well. Listening to music on my computer was just as pleasant. I highly recommend these earbuds.

I've tried Bose, Beats, Koss, Shure, A-Jays, Sennheisers, a bunch of different Skull Candies - these are hands down the BEST earbuds I've ever used. Low, mid and upper ranges are all excellent, vocals are crystal clear and there's no 'break up' at high volumes. They sound better than 'buds' that cost 3 times as much. Get 'em.

I've owned a lot of headphones including Jaybird X3's (which sound terrible compared to these). I have yet to find a bluetooth headphone that comes close. Sony's Extra Base bluetooth version doesn't quite cut it either-XB80BS. These have the best balance of sound from heavy base rap music to double kick drum metal, they perform amazing. The base is strong but not overbearing. Well worth the $50 and actually worth much more. I use them wile working construction every day. I have to push them in periodically but that would be my only complaint. Sound is #1 in my book of importance and these deliver! My wife has a set of Bose....they don't even come close.

Tested with enhanced equalizer with bass boost music mobile and is terrific. BASS is strong and crisper highs reached, used a Klipsch model IS 4 earbuds with the same specifications, but with this I get more satisfaction with less budget.

The Quality of sounds so excellent better than expensive one, so comfortable to ears and the extra bass so nice, listening music with this Sony so entertaining... nice Product..

The problem here isn't the quality of the sound but the size of it. Quality was nice enough, pretty crisp and clear (they are Sony) but 12mm drivers means the sound is very thin with very little bass and you have to crank the volume way up. If you're in a quiet room, you can back it off a bit and the sound quality is pleasant and accurate but, still, thin with no bass - it's kind of like a bee buzzing around in your head. I have an older set of nice Sony head-band earbuds that perform the same so I should have known better but I thought the "Extra Bass" might offer some improvement. Sadly, that was not the case. I exchanged these for a 'sport' model from a different brand that has 15mm drivers and the difference is like night and day. I wish I could name them in the review here.

Wow! Was I impressed with these headphones. The sound quality and bass on these are amazing. The best part is the mic and built in multi-function button.
