Poor noise cancellation in airplane

The qualityof the audio was fine and the earphones are very comfortable. But the noise cancellation did not work the way I expected.

The sound quality was actually better than I expected. I purchased them for my father who has difficulty hearing on the telephone. The noise cancellation helps block out background noise when he is on the phone.
