Heavily discounted at the time is why I purchased them. If noise canceling is not needed I would say there are much better headphones in the 30 to40 dollar range

The bigger concern that I have is that I wanted over the ear not on the ear and the information on the website said over the ear. Make sure you get what you are looking for, over the ear or on the ear.
