Uses a battery to have that feature. Not worth it. Comfortable though.

I've had a pair for years and finally wore 'em out, so I bought this new set and I'm happy!

Imagine playing keys while the headset cord must be draped directly across the keys! I have an extension line around here somewhere, but seems like Sony excessively cut their costs. Yes, the specs show the line is 3.9 feet, but I walked into the store and bought it quickly off the shelf. Do you remember when Sony products were the considered best of the best?
