Then simply stopped canceling background noise. I changed battery, the on light is turned on. If you do buy it, buy it elsewhere. The return process thru best buy is difficult. The website says I have to include original box, manual, cables, power supply,... This is a battery operated device. No power supply, and I threw out the paper that showed how to put the battery in. Best buy is losing a long time customer

The up and down head adjustment moves way to easy and the they fit very loosely on my ears. I believe they would be OK if not using for gym. The sound is OK for the price. I gave it a 2 star because they do not fit my need very well.
