Just got these to try on a recent trip and thought for the reasonable cost they worked very well at canceling out the majority of the annoying engine noise of the plane. the only down side to these headphones in my opinion was they weren't full over the ear and if the placement of the earpiece was off they were not as effective and using them for an extended period of time they would become uncomfortable and my ears would need a break. AAA Battery is still working after 17 hours of use. Not as bulky as the larger more expensive models and if for any reason they were lost or stolen you aren't at a big loss. Overall I would definitely recommend this product.

8 weeks after purchase, past the return window, the wire from the plug to the split connector has become exposed. I will take them in and try to return them, but I won't be surprised if they refuse and I'm fifty bucks out. They sound good, they feel nice on. I just wish I'd paid attention to the previous posters who complained about the cheap wire connections.

Excellent soft on your ears.The sound is great I like that you can have the sound soft or loud.

Bought two of these, one for me one for gamer BF. Mine is still in one piece, but I am afraid I'll break it any moment. Later we bought a cheaper set of headphones for use at the gym. The cheaper model has better sound quality, better noise cancellation, and doesn't feel like it's about to break (in fact both are still intact despite being plopped into gym bags and torn from our ears, etc.) If I'd known I would have just gotten these instead of the expensive ones.

Sound quality and noise cancellation are good. Not pleased with the size of the ear cups/pads, they are smaller than the Logitech pair I'm replacing. They're not something I use daily so they'll do just fine. If you need something for long hours everyday, I'd pass on these. Oh, and they were not delivered when expected.

These headphones block out everything, are comfortable enough to watch TV in bed. I definitely recommend and would purchase again.

Good price for the quality that they offer. I have purchased more expensive headphones that do not provide what these headphones do. I highly recommend for noise cancellation. I use them for flights and it blocks out all of the plane's noise.

Love these comfy headphones, and they’re just what I wanted for the price. Their noise-canceling feature is a nice added benefit.

Bought one of these for a cross-country flight. Seems to work OK for that, and the noise canceling really does make a difference, so I have bought another one for my wife to use on an upcoming trip. I agree with "technophile" that it really needs its own separate volume control, although a volume control in an inline cable pod would be marginally acceptable (I ended up having to buy a separate volume control in a cable extension). HOWEVER... I STRONGLY recommend that if "SonyListens" is going to respond to these reviews, do so with a response more helpful than just that identical canned response I see in all of your responses. If you can't take the time to provide a helpful response that actually addresses the issues, don't bother responding at all.

I love my new Sony headphones! They have a great sound, very clear and stereo sound which I love. Perfect for my music videos and movies. I feel they do cancel an adequate amount of noise, although I don't think its possible to cancel all the noise, overall, I am very happy with my purchase. Also, I wanted to say that I love shopping at Best Buy! They have excellent quality of electronics that you can trust, great customer service, great prices, and every time I shop at Best Buy, I have a great shopping experience. :)

(3 1/2 stars) My 11-year old likes the headphones fairly well particularly the noise-cancelling feature — on long plane flights especially. However she does not find them very comfortable as they press directly on the ears too much. Admittedly, the price still makes this item an attractive option.

I made the purchase seeking a corded headphone, I was not disappointed. The headphones are comfortable and even without the noise cancelling turned on, muffles outside distractions

Great earphones for the price. Lightweight and comfortable. Do not block out all noise as in television noise but once you turn on music, almost all outside noise disappears

My husband says these are the BEST headphones ever. He LOVES the comfortable way they cover his ears & they don't slide around. And they don't let outside noise in.

I bought these for my daughter who travels internationally for work, so she wanted the noise cancelling feature. They were on sale, so I also purchased a pair for myself to use with Spotify music on my phone while exercising. They do have very nice sound. I would like them even more if they had a carrying case and collapsed/folded a bit smaller. The noise cancelling works fine, though you can still hear some talking.

Sounds fine for basic use around the house, lightweight, look good, compact. They are not comfortable, no padding on the head band just a piece of hard plastic. At first it didn't bother me but after a few hours it was bothersome. Returning these for the next model up.

I needed some new phones for practicing my keyboard and air travel. These fit the bill well. Note they do require a AAA battery for boosting noise cancelling and sound but they are fine without the battery. They fold and pack well also. Not as good as the Bose I bought 5 years ago but those were $125 and these were $69.

Would get 5 stars but I work in a 95+db environment and I still need small earplugs. Excellent sound quality! Just don't want to be at maximum volume to jam. I like having hearing lol. Great otherwise!!

The headphones are comfortable and block out noise. I would definitely recommend these for the occasional user on airplane or car trips.

Bought for my Samsung TV. Was using ear buds but they kept clogging with wax and dead skin plus falling out a lot. I use it in my den along with an oxygen concentrator. Thge head phones keep the concentrator noise out and I can watch TV after my wife goes to bed without waking her.
