This headphones do not cancel out high pitched sound but definitely cancel out low frequency sound. Downside is it uses battery which seemed to die quickly and they were not rechargeable either. I got the headphones for dirt cheap so I figured my kids could use it for listening to music after I'd used them for what I wanted.

That's the major selling point. Sound quality is great overall but turning the active noise cancelling on just sucks all the sound out of the room. Bought for a noisy workplace and these made my job much more comfortable.

Very good basic headphones

Adding volume control would put these at the top of the list for a low cost option. The folding feature is excellent and makes storing these headphones even easier. The sound quality is really good. The hissing from the sound cancelling takes some getting used to but works well when activated.
