"Living" on an aisle at an intersection of a "cube farm" can be pretty distracting as people tend to stand and converse when they intersect. These headphones help minimize the distracting "extraneous office noise" allowing me to concentrate on the task at hand. They also work quite well with my Sony NW-A55 Walkman MP3 player.

I do use them when I am mowing the lawn, it takes about an hour and a half to finish. With these headphones I do not have to turn the volume up as high as I did when I was using the other pair of headphones.
