Dad has trouble hearing his TV. With these headphones plugged in, it is much better for him

Do not buy these if you are looking for noise cancelling. I you are looking for a cheap pair of headphones, that are wired, go with the base model of these without the noise cancelling. The audio quality is the same for both, the noise cancellation feature does little to nothing, except maybe adds a hiss. If you need noise cancelling you'll have to spend a bit more or look to other headphones. Aside from that, they are a ok set of headphones for audio. music is passable and so are voice calls - neither is great. Earcups are small so they sit on your ear instead of around them, that's personal preference for everyone. Wired resolves a lot of the audio, connection, and recharging issues that can arise from Bluetooth

I purchased the headphones for air travel. The headphones are designed to filter out background noise.

Excellent headphones and performs well, especially when connected to a soundbar. It fits on the ear, not over the ear, so for extended periods of wear, it could become uncomfortable, more so if glasses and/or hearing aids are worn. Therefore, a 4 star and not a 5 star.
