I wouldn't use them if they were needed to block out all background sounds but good enough for recreational use.

Not Noise Cancelling. Noise Dampening

They will not take much abuse, and I can already tell they will not travel well. The sound is decent, but they are definitely not noise cancelling. Noise dampening perhaps, but not noise cancelling. Definitely not worth the price I paid. Glad i still have the packaging to return them.
