Love these comfy headphones, and they’re just what I wanted for the price. Their noise-canceling feature is a nice added benefit.

Bought one of these for a cross-country flight. Seems to work OK for that, and the noise canceling really does make a difference, so I have bought another one for my wife to use on an upcoming trip. I agree with "technophile" that it really needs its own separate volume control, although a volume control in an inline cable pod would be marginally acceptable (I ended up having to buy a separate volume control in a cable extension). HOWEVER... I STRONGLY recommend that if "SonyListens" is going to respond to these reviews, do so with a response more helpful than just that identical canned response I see in all of your responses. If you can't take the time to provide a helpful response that actually addresses the issues, don't bother responding at all.

I love my new Sony headphones! They have a great sound, very clear and stereo sound which I love. Perfect for my music videos and movies. I feel they do cancel an adequate amount of noise, although I don't think its possible to cancel all the noise, overall, I am very happy with my purchase. Also, I wanted to say that I love shopping at Best Buy! They have excellent quality of electronics that you can trust, great customer service, great prices, and every time I shop at Best Buy, I have a great shopping experience. :)

(3 1/2 stars) My 11-year old likes the headphones fairly well particularly the noise-cancelling feature — on long plane flights especially. However she does not find them very comfortable as they press directly on the ears too much. Admittedly, the price still makes this item an attractive option.

I made the purchase seeking a corded headphone, I was not disappointed. The headphones are comfortable and even without the noise cancelling turned on, muffles outside distractions

Great earphones for the price. Lightweight and comfortable. Do not block out all noise as in television noise but once you turn on music, almost all outside noise disappears

My husband says these are the BEST headphones ever. He LOVES the comfortable way they cover his ears & they don't slide around. And they don't let outside noise in.

I bought these for my daughter who travels internationally for work, so she wanted the noise cancelling feature. They were on sale, so I also purchased a pair for myself to use with Spotify music on my phone while exercising. They do have very nice sound. I would like them even more if they had a carrying case and collapsed/folded a bit smaller. The noise cancelling works fine, though you can still hear some talking.

Sounds fine for basic use around the house, lightweight, look good, compact. They are not comfortable, no padding on the head band just a piece of hard plastic. At first it didn't bother me but after a few hours it was bothersome. Returning these for the next model up.

Would get 5 stars but I work in a 95+db environment and I still need small earplugs. Excellent sound quality! Just don't want to be at maximum volume to jam. I like having hearing lol. Great otherwise!!

I needed some new phones for practicing my keyboard and air travel. These fit the bill well. Note they do require a AAA battery for boosting noise cancelling and sound but they are fine without the battery. They fold and pack well also. Not as good as the Bose I bought 5 years ago but those were $125 and these were $69.

Bought for my Samsung TV. Was using ear buds but they kept clogging with wax and dead skin plus falling out a lot. I use it in my den along with an oxygen concentrator. Thge head phones keep the concentrator noise out and I can watch TV after my wife goes to bed without waking her.

The headphones are comfortable and block out noise. I would definitely recommend these for the occasional user on airplane or car trips.

These won't last you a lifetime, but if you get at least 4 uses out of 'em, I think it's worth it. Used on trans Atlantic flight. Severely reduced high pitched "jet noise". Not uncomfortable. Reasonably effective. If I flew once a month or more, I'd probably get better headphones. But for 2-3 times a year, these get it done.

These headphones are what you expect from Sony, really good sound quality for a good price. The noise cancelling did work but seemed to act more as a music/sound amplifier than a outside noise reduction device. With no sound coming through the headphones and the noise cancelling on these is still significant outside noises entering the space. i would expect a little more from active noise cancelling. I understand for the price these would not be as good as high end phones but did expect better reduction. Still it made it easier on the plane on the most recent trip. Love the folding design, comfort could be a little better

its good for basic use...volume is good and fit is confortable...the cord is alittle short;;

I was really taken by these headphones. They are simply FANTASTIC! I was pleasantly surprised by how well they cancel out noise. When I want to tone out the kids..and just have a break for myself- I put these babies on with a good "R" rated movie...sit back..and feel like I'm in my own private movie theatre...not a sound or disruption from the crumb snatchers! You won't be sorry you bought these! Perfect for airplane flights and noisy constant intercom interruptions or screaming children.

I break things and I travel a lot. I didn't want another 3-400 pair or headphones to break. Nor did I want noise canceling that works so well that I miss important things like snacks and drinks. These fit the bill exactly. First flight was a complete success. They aint the best but I can listen at moderate volume on planes and in the gym with clarity and w MOST noise cancelled out. Perfect for the every-man!

The sound is good, but there is no soft cushion in the top band, so after wearing for 30 minutes, I had an imprint in the top of my bald head,, and it was uncomfortable to put back on. The cable is cheap and annoying as well, not sure why Sony would fail to use a braided cable, but that's the cost cutting measure to make cheap headphones. Ended up returning it and getting something nicer.

Bought these for a trip to Brazil for a wedding, to be used on the long flights to and from. They preformed as expected and are very comfortable. I continue to use them listening to music and watching movies on my kindle.
