Pack small, light, and works great on airplanes. Bought them 3 years ago for a long flight and was very pleased. Had another long flight this year Performances were still very good for the price, but the set was completely unusable because the ear cup cover material decomposed. There were little plastic flakes all over my ears, shirt, seat and flight blanket. Good product dying because of poor material. I live in a hot and humid climat, it may do better in colder/drier conditions. Interestingly, I had bought these to replace an older pair of Sony's , even smaller but older technology, that lasted many years but ended up with the ear cup material delaminating. But at least got to use these on several flights, not so with the MDRZX110NC.. Seems to be a recurring issue with Sony's. Disappointed.

Based on the product reviews, I was excited to try out these headphones for office use. I was disappointing to find that the audio quality was fairly poor. In addition, they do not isolate sound very well. That is, music being played through the headphones will start to bleed when volume is at a normal listening level. If you're just looking for a cheap pair of noise isolating headphones, I guess these might be for you... For office use, I would not recommend. I do appreciate that these headphones are better for long term use. They're more comfortable on my ears than in-ear headphones. They're also much better for your ears, as they will not cause damage as easily.

Great sound and they fold nicely for easy storage while traveling.

I bought this product for work. It has been working amazing. And also the price was not that bad.

Noise reduction works very well on a plane, but every time I put the headphones in my bag or take them out, the cushions pull off and they are a nightmare to replace. I love Sony sound quality, but this is beyond annoying.

Decent sound, only when you hit the power up switch, so you better hope you have new batteries. Also, a very uncomfortable fit. Lots of pressure on the top of my head. I get a headache wearing these.

These headphones are great for the price, but were uncomfortable when wearing for long periods of time and were noisy while making headphone fitting adjustments for my head..

I was looking for a good set of over the ear headphones for work. For the price and the fact they were noise canceling I wanted to give them a try. Note: These are NOT over the ear headphones as the title describes, but are ON the ear headphones, which was disappointing. The noise canceling feature doesn't seem to be that great to me as I've experienced better. The on the ear fit isn't too bad however after a little while it does cause my ears to hurt which is why I was looking for an over the ear model. Was hoping the store would have had a demo model to try on but they didn't. For the price though it was worth giving it a shot.

Says microphone yes in the description. It's for the noise cancelling. It's not a mic you can use as a mic. Bestbuy, You should really spell that out for us. Sony doesn't list it as a feature on the box. Returned without testing.

Sound was good, but noise cancellation poor. Was hoping it would be better on a flight. Wound up returning them.

These are only 50 bucks so not bad for the price would I recommend them to someone probably not. They hurt my ears after a while of wearing them. Noise canceling only if you turn up the headphones to like a decent amount. The switch is great at tuning the music for a crisper sound. So over all they're okay.but. Nothing worth writing home about.

Good prodtuct for price . Easy to use and maintain

Bought these headphones to study. It feels like they only kick up the bass and make the sound louder and clearer but don't really cancel that much noise. The best they cancel out would be light tapping or whispering. They only partially cover your ears so your ears hurt after 20 min of wearing them. The batteries also don't last that long. About 10 hours like the other review said sounds accurate. For the price, I would just recommend getting a pair of nice headphones and not these for the sake of them being "noise canceling".

These provide good sound but little to no noise-cancellation, which is specifically why I bought them. They also hurt my ears after about an hour.

THESE HEADPHONES WERE BOUGHT FOR MY GOD-BROTHER AND HE'S REALLY ENJOYING THEM. HE HASN'T COMPLIANED AT ALL.

The quality is decent for the price, BUT, no padding on top, just HARD PLASTIC! My head hurt so badly after 5 minutes, and I have a high pain tolerance. Even my $10 headphones have some padding! Going back!
