The noise cancellation is average and the comfort level is average. Not up to par with Bose or the better Sony

I needed a new set for a trip and these worked fine on the plane.

I purchased these for the purpose of using them on a flight I will be taking soon. I didn't look through all of them but figured these would be good enough since they're noise-cancelling and Sony's a pretty decent name in the audio scene. I was thoroughly disappointed in the sound quality! It was very tinny and overall just not enjoyable, very weak and cheap sound especially coming from Sony. Pretty disappointing, I'll be sticking to Skullcandy!

Works well for the price, and the audio quality is excellent.

Any way to get a foam headliner for the plastic top

I am so disappointed in these headphones. I had over the ear Sony noise canceling headphones from Best Buy that were about 10 years old and were stolen. They worked beautifully, so I decided to buy a replacement. I saw the price at Best Buy and it was only about a third of what the old ones cost, but I thought, maybe they had just come down in price since they were corded (vs the newer wireless). Boy was I wrong!!! Not only do they NOT fit over year ears, but they are horrible at cancelling out aircraft nose. I have taken four flights and quite frankly could just assume wear ear buds and get better clarity. They are fine if you are in a library - not on an aircraft! Spend the extra money to get good headphones.

I would not give a 1 star had there been an option for "0 stars". Not a reliable brand at all. I had a different model of Sony headphones , and it broke by the hinge. Reached out to both US and Japan headquarters about the issue. Received a reply email stating that the Sony engineers agree that there is a defect with the product, but they cannot exchange it because it was out of warranty. If a product has a defect, and company admits it, then why does not matter what the purchase date it. Anyway I highly recommend to stay away from sony headphones in general.

I bought these for an upcoming long airplane ride in hopes to reduce the cabin noise, unfortunately they did not work out for me. I have small ears and these ear pads do not fully cover my ears, which I think is probably key for the noise cancelling to work efficiently.

Was looking for low cost, over-ear noise cancelling headphones and found these Sony's with good reviews. When I picked up the order, the box seemed oddly small for over-ear headphones. My suspicions were confirmed when I unpacked them and tried them on. These are not even close to over-ear as described! These are an on-ear design all day long- and uncomfortable ones at that. Very disappointed in Best Buy for allowing an inaccurate description which, ultimately, wasted my time.

I bought these to use while playing my digital piano, and even for piano music the sound on these is tinny and disappointing. I'm returning them.

Not sure what the positive reviewers are comparing this product with. The noise cancellation appears to be only a boost in volume.

They sound bad, and they are super not comfortable. They also require a battery, which for wired headphones is kinda a bummer. You can get much better headphones for the money, I was very disappointed in this product, sony stuff is usually pretty good. I plan on returning these and upgrading to something better.

I brought these for a trip to Thailand, the cabin noise was barley reduced. With the noise cancelling on, it only highlighted the sound to cover up some of the external noise. They don't cover the ear very well also to reduce the external noise. Not worth giving them away.

There is no difference between turn it on and off regarding the noise cancelling. Just a pure headphone. The title and description is lying. Completely a regular headphone without any noise cancelling function.

If you want headphones you do not want to buy these. They are horrible. I tested noise canceling on a USB fan and it could not even block out that noise. Sounds horrible with lots of static. Ignore positive review these suck!!!!!

there's nothing and noise canceling, product promises 95% and doesn't deliver 20%. Too bad I can't return it.

Had they let me try these in the store I wouldn't have bought them. Much too tight and hot on the ears. Noise cancelling? I couldn't notice ANY lessening of outside sound.

These are NOT over the ear. They are at best on the ear. The hole for the ear is no bigger than my thumb print so there is no way anyone's ears will fit inside it.

These work well as headphones, Only. They do not cancel out source sound and you need them putting out other sound to even party noicecancel.
