These headphones have decent sound but the dynamic range is much better when you turn on the noise canceling function. Remember to turn it off, though, when done because it eats through AAA batteries. The over-the-ear cushions are comfortable but the hard plastic headband becomes painful in short order on the top of my head. Your mileage may vary. The one thing I really despise about these headphones is almost every time a lay them down on my desk, it pushes the battery-cover-release button so the battery cover pops off. Really a poor design.

Pending 10/2018 flight for review. Purpose of this purchase was for use on travel flights where regular head phones on iPad/Macbook volume is hard to hear with jet noise

These noise-canceling headphones are comfortable and excellent for keeping out extraneous sounds, and have a great frequency response, You could pay more for a designer brand, but it will hard to beat the price for these headphones which deliver the same specs.

The Sony headphones I purchased were very easy to connect and work very well. I have already used them extensively and they provide very clear, crisp sound. Glad I bought them!

Bought these headphones for my daughter to use for her online classes. The noise cancelling works well enough for her needs. Obviously, not as good as the higher end models but this does a good enough job for her to use.

Good headphones with sound quality that isn't extraordinary but too good to complain about for the $50 price. They only slightly cancel noise and don't do as good a job at this as adversitied, so I would recommend not buying these on the noise cancellation aspect alone. If you are looking for reasonably priced and reliable headphones with at least decent sound that dont warrant any complaints or disappointment, these are your headphones.

Average pair of headphones with average nose cancelling. The price paid was fair. I would buy these for young kids and airplane rides. I personally wouldn't buy these for myself.

These were purchased with the purpose to be used on an international flight, and for the cost they did their job! Of course they are not comparable to the more expensive models, but at this price they are a viable option for those on a budget. They are battery powered, so check before your trip that you have enough battery to keep you goin!

Got these for my husband so he didn’t have to listen to me snore lol. He hears nothing with these on!!!! I have to knock him after yelling several times to talk to him if he has these on lol ;) THANKS SONY & BEST BUY!!!! Jk :) Cindy

It works very well on the plane; I was surprised of how much the noise was reduced. Obviously they do not have the sound of much more expensive items but they do a pretty good job..

These were purchased for listening to music while working on computer. they really do great. When the power boost is turned on it enhances sound quality. plus it blocks out unwanted sounds.

I bought the noise cancelling headphone to use on a flight across the country; earbuds didn't cut it for me on a previous trip. The headphone cancelled most of the engine noise and chatter, but allowed me to know when announcements where being made. That was exactly what I wanted.

My girlfriend works in a somewhat open office and was needing a solution to the ambient noise that is present in her workspace. These have been great for her to have some noise privacy. They were very affordable compared to the more expensive options.

These are almost as good as beats. Perfect for working out.

Eventually I will get another better than this one, for now ( until this one stop working ) it fist the needs. Yes, for the price is working relatively good.

I purchased these headphones to use on long flights. Are there better headphones out there, yes, but for the money these do the trick. They work well for the price.

I had an old set of heavier earphones with heavy weight and lengthy ord. These cover the ears well without too much pressure on the ears, are lighter and the shorter slimmer cord stays out of my way. I use it for listening at the desktop and with my IPods. Really makes the experience better.

Traveled to Asia recently and wanted a noise reducing headphone without breaking the bank. Worked well only complaint is the size of ear piece. Didn't fully cover the ears. What do you want for $50!
