    Originally I bought a generic brand battery at Best Buy that states it replaces the Sony model battery. Even had the Sony model battery replacement model number on the box. Guess what it wouldn't charge when connected to the camera's charging cord with the battery inside the camera.

    Used 2 of these batteries for my rx100v. Batteries worked well, but are expensive. Cheaper alternatives may be the way to go.
