Very disappointed in this product. We bought it because it advertised that it would block out outside noises. It does not. It did not work at all. The sound was good, but, don't buy this if you're wanting to block out other noises.

It works great, and is a good value. They are light weight, and sound canceling works good.

From what my kid says, the work but they are not beats.

I use it for traveling mostly & sometimes in bed or auto.

These headphones were marketed specifically as noise canceling headphones and I have had cheap ear buds that work better at blocking out the noise. I needed them to help block out the sounds in the student lounge when I am studying and these just did not do the trick.

I have found this item to be an excellent device for listening to and watching my Ipod

I use it while working out at the gym. I'm happy with it especially for the price.

I purchased these headset to replace my other one and I was deeply satisfied.

I like Sony I needed a pair of headphones so I decidedly with Sony

I didn't want to spend much money on noise reduction headphones and I guess you get what you pay for. It's hard to tell which mode is better as the noise reduction barely does anything on airplanes

A decent pair headphones for music, movies, etc. but no way for any real sound hound who wants to have outside noise cancelled out. Just a gimmick and surprised that Sony would bother advertising it.

I use this for airplane use. It does remove a minor amount of background noise but not enough to be comfortable. For $49.00 it's better than nothing, but would not advise for continuous use

wanted headset for noise canceling, was promised, these were the best for the price. guess you get what you pay for as they didn't do as promised. wouldn't recommend for this.............

I purchased these Sony headphones as a replacement for my older pair of Sony noise cancelling headphones. My old Sony still worked fine but the ear cushions had worn off. I purchased these an inexpensive noise cancelling head phones. I travel often and tired these on my flight and was totally dissapointed. I had the volume turned all the way up on my Ipad and could barely hear the movie. I returned to head phones and purchased another brand that works much better even without the noise cancelling technology.

I love Sony, generally, but this is not typical sony. Very cheap and flimsy, but a buyer would be much better off spending an additional $50 to buy a durable product.

The headphone did not cancel out the extreme noise level of the Nascar Race for which I bought them for my scanner guess I'll use them for my MP3 now.
