When I first heard that Sony was requiring an XBox Live-like multiplayer subscription I was a little peeved (as were many others). But it's an understandable business decision. And for the price, not a bad deal. $40 for a year's worth of great multiplayer and exclusive content is a steal in my book, considering that I always thought I was getting away scott free no paying for multiplayer in the past. Well worth the $40.

I don't understand why you have to buy cards every year I think as long as you pay for internet you should be able to play online

PSN Plus is worth it for the fact that you get free digital downloadable games each month for both the PS3, PS4, PS Vita and PSP. I haven't had to buy a game in months thanks to being a member.

Need PSN access in order to utilize most online features of PS4 and games. You'll loose the total gaming experience without it.

This is a must purchase for PS owner, improves experience and gains a lot of special benefits only for being a member. recommended

PS Plus has proven to be an excellent service: adding demonstrable value without artificially hiding free services behind a paywall. As a former Xbox live customer, it's really night and day.

I know could have purchased this straight through PSN but I got rewards points this way and then more for writing this review!

This was a great gift for our college grandson for Xmas! Upon opening he was happy to see that it was a one year subscription.

This gives you the ability to download games for the PS4, PS3, and PS Vita. Also, it allows you to play online games on the PS4.

I honestly believe that if the xbox people knew how great PS plus was they would burn their xboxes and smash them with a hammer. I mean you get early acess to beta, dicounted prices and it pays for itself 10 fold. I mean really someone could get a PS3 and spend 50$ for a whole year for plus and never have to spend money on another game. If I had kids, I would get them a PS3 and just Pay 50$ and not have to worry about buying anymore games, but they would have to be kind of you lol. Another plus(no pun intended) is that this carries over to PS4. But the one BAD thing about plus is............I don't have enough time to play all of my games with my neverending back log heh.

I really looked into this before purchasing but it ended up being worth it. My son enjoys being able to purchase online games.

What can I say? It's a piece of cardboard that has letters and numbers printed it on it. I hope it's made of recycled materials. I did end up recycling the card after I used the card. It has rounded edges so you can't easily cut yourself on it. It is predominantly blue in color on one side and on the other side it is mostly white. There's a section where you get to scratch off the gray stuff to reveal your code. You'll need a coin of some kind, I recommend a quarter. Quarter not included.

I have been hesitant to have my son play online games with others and this is the first time I have allowed him to do so. He has so far been responsible with it and we have had many talks about the rules of online gaming. I do not often play with him but he uses this to play with his friends from school and other family members out of state. However, I do monitor his gaming and he has been able to step up and follow through. He is also able to play games that he has saved on another system at his other parents house which allows him to feel more at home when he is with me and vice versa. So far so good.

Love it would recommend it at first i wasn't going to buy but then i did. Couldn't think of a better produce for the task

It sucks that you have to buy it but I guess that's what gaming is all about these days. Making money everywhere they can.

When i found out that Sony now charge to play online. It was a little disappointing. But if your a true gamer its a must have.

The free and discounted games available pay for the $50 fee. The day of purchase I downloaded Uncharted, a $35 value, for free. I have downloaded several games since. It pays for itself.

It's for ps+. It is good. Not sure exactly why it is good. You get a couple free games every month you probably won't play.

My son has a Playstaion 3 and 4 so he uses the network a lot. Good value and gives him access to many other games and add-ons.

PSN is great. Compared to the other competitor (no need to mention names), PSN offers at least one free game to download per month. Great to have and a must have for future PS4 owners!
