PS Plus in my opinion is a great service. some like to put it down cause the games they receive for free each month (roughly 6+ games a month depending on the platforms you own along with what is cross buy) what you get out of the service each month vs the cost is well worth it. each year you get roughly 1000 dollars worth of games plus online play and awesome deals with sales on PS Store for 50 dollars a year soon to be 60 dollars a year. a lot of people complained about the price increase but being the service has existed for 6 years and never had a price increase with extra value included over the years I believe it is due.

I love the way games have evolved into a social experience over the years. With that said, it costs money to offer those services, and even though it was nice having free online gaming last gen, it was inevitable that Sony would start charging. The free monthly games and online saving help to soften the blow (although $50/year isn't entirely dreadful).

PS+ is great Free games, plus unique deals every month. Only downside is when the membership expires you gotta renew it to play the "Free" games already downloaded. Definitely worth it though.

This one is pretty straightforward, 12 month membership to PS Plus. With Ps Plus membership you get at least two games every month based on what system you have, ie Ps vita, Ps3, Ps4. So for those who have all three like I do, you will be getting 6 games every month. No every game will be your flavor but I guarantee you will get something you'll enjoy.

Owner of a PS4 here, and my love for online gaming required me to commit to this purchase recently and for many years to come. I can't get enough of the online action from games such as NBA 2K17, Battlefield 1, COD, etc.. so this was a must for myself. I also had a bestbuy rewards certificate to use on this item so it made it all the much more worth it.

PS Plus is worth the yearly price. You get free games each month as long as you are an active subscriber, and it works across all your Playstation machines. I usually buy these online at a discount, but since the price on PS Plus was going up a day or two later, I figured why wait for an online sale that would be comparably to the "old" regular price.

This is a must have if you want to play any type of multiplayer on the PS4. I have only had the service for about a month and it seems to work very well. Basically the exact same thing as Xbox live. So far the free games offered each month are very limited. I believe this will get better with time as the library of games gets much larger. This system is still in its infancy.

To have an enjoyable online experience on PS3 or PS4 now you must have a PS Plus membership. I would wait for them to go on sale before you purchase your next one. $59.99 is too much in my opinion. Don't forget to purchase and activate a new PS Plus membership before your old one expires or change your settings. Otherwise your account will automatically renew your membership....

Sony offers a great service that comes with plenty of great games to be played.

I'll admit I am an X-box player but I wanted to play Last of Us so I bought a ps3. My brother was telling me about network so I decided to get it while it was on sale on Black Friday. It easily beats X-box live. The part I love most about it would be that your able to download different full games for free. I think I downloaded 6-7 in a little over a month. This is worth getting.

Now that the PS4 has gone to pay-to-play online like the XBox One, this is an excellent way to try before you buy so to speak. In this fashion, you can get a card with a specific set of months on it, try it out with the online games you have, and then maybe get a subscription for good. Or... just keep buying the online service cards. Either way, you win!

Ever since I bought my first Plus membership 3 years ago--back when it was still optional--I've made the annual trek back to Best Buy to renew my service (I go to BB for the rewards points vs just resubscribing on my consoles). As long as PSPlus keeps offering the great service and awesome free games, I can't imagine I'll stop my routine anytime soon.

I don't think we should have to pay for online features, especially since all of the hacks Sony has gotten recently. Buuuut, if doing so helps them keep the servers smooth and secure then why not. It's a must have for ps4 owners.

Playstation has gone the way of Microsoft in charging its users to access most online games. It's not that much per month and many times you can find deals on the PS+ subscription. Included in the subscription are usually 2-3 'free' games per month for download. Many of these titles are good games that retailed at $49.99-$59.99 when they were released (usually a year prior).

However, they did give me rocket league for free during a short time. and its one of my favorite games ive played. it is a must to have for online use, which sucks they've stooped down to XBOX's level like XBOX live... SHAME!

I like being a Playstation Plus member, mostly for the free games, but also because it allows me to play online with friends and such. I think the year membership is the best price, other than if it were free haha! They could release some better games for the free monthly downloads though...
