You need to have PS Plus to play online with your friends, so it is a necessity for the PS4. I like the fact that they still have cards in stock for $49.99 as the price has gone up to $59.99. I bought 3 of these so I don't have to worry about it for a while.

This year-long membership allows you to download free full-length games on all Playstation platforms (PS3, Vita, and PS4). Every month the games change and as long as you're a member, you get to keep the games. This membership is also needed to use the multiplayer functions of the PS4.

Sadly it is required for playing multiplayer... but the free games offers are not so good. Maybe the discounts on the Playstation Store are worth it sometimes

Worked flawlessly. I bought it at the store and put in the codes on my console and it worked without any issues. I love the free games you get on a monthly basis so there is never a dull moment with my ps4.

Psn seems to still go down even with the help of $50 from each player. Other than that you really can't do anything on this game system without the membership

Purchased this item when I bought my PS4 . I'm very pleased with the decisin thay I've made by becoming a Playstation Plus member . You get way more out of it than if you didn't have it . Not to mentiom the $49.00 charge isn't that bad . I'd highly recommend it to anyone else .

I purchased this along with my Glacier White Destiny Bundle and it was well worth the purchase! PS Plus is one of the best deals in gaming since you get access to free games every month, plus a load of other features. Owning a PS4 without PS Plus really doesn't make any sense

I've been a member for years; the free games each month can be "hit or miss" depending on what type you like but the discounts on PSN purchases is great. I find using this card is a bit easier in account control than using a credit card to be a PSPlus member.

First off it sucks that you have to now buy this for online game play on the PS4. Having said that though, atleast you get free games every month! Plus if you just watch the adds or the best buy deal of the day you can get this for $40 instead of $50 which makes it even better.

Picked this up at it's original $50(on sale now at $60!) then threw in a couple reward certificates to sweeten the deal. PSN has been pretty solid since the big hack a few years ago. It is also the better value when it comes to the PS+ monthly games free.

Absolute must have for any playstation 4 owner. Not only does it allow one to play games online with other people, but it also let's you try free games that you wouldn't try without this. The games rotate each month and some are very good. Highly recommended.

Playstation plus is required to play online with the PS4. Sony also gives out free games every month for their ecosystem (Ps3, Vita, Ps4), so its a great deal if you own any consoles and play online. It just an added benefit sense use Ps4 to game online anyway!

Got this for the PS4 launch to play online with friends. Serves it's purpose well. Online servers have only let me down once or twice since the console launch in mid Nov. Hopefully sony releases some downloadable games from previous systems that consumers can play on the PS4 soon

So far I've downloaded NBA 2K16 for free and soon this month I will download Saints Row Gat out of Heck for free! You easily make your money back free games every month. I highly recommend to have enough storage space on your PS4 to keep up with the freebies!

This is my first time signing up Playstation Plus and this card was an easy and convenient way to pay for the full year. Activating is very quick and easy and the perks such as discounts on games and some can even be downloaded for free is awesome!!

A must for anyone with a PS device! IF you hear that a niece, nephew or grandkids is getting a PS device, this is the perfect complement and won't cost you as much as a new game. This subscription will allow access to a ton of free content for the system.

It's annoying that you need the Plus membership to play online with a PS4, but I suppose it's nice that you now get big discounts on downloadable software in the PS store. Online play has been pretty good for CoD Advanced Warfare. No lagging/connectivity issues as of yet.

I know paying for access to online gameplay sounds ridiculous, right? Well not all games require this but most do. It also gives you discounts on lots of additional content and a free game or two a month. This was a great discounted buy on Black Friday!

The price for this had recently went up, so I was glad to find one with the older, lower price. Some stores still have 10-20 at the lower price, so look around. In the end, it does not matter the price if you want to play online, as you will need this.
