I purchased this to go along with the PS4 system I bought during Christmas. You need it to play online so you have to purchase it unlike the PS3 where it is free. That is the only down side of the newer system but what can you do.

I was avoiding buying this (PS4 was a Xmas gift to my son) and I didn't want to spend anything more. On Easter I gave him the subscription and now he can play with friends he knows and talk laugh and have a great time playing.

This item is a must have for Sony gaming system owners if they want to take advantage of online multiplayer and free monthly games. 2 Free games a month per device. If you own all three, that's 6 free games per month. This basically pays for itself.

a reasonable price for an amazing online experience like no other! wont get far without having a playstation plus card, but the free content you get every month and the oppurtunity to play online, this card is a must have and is worth every dollar!

It was initially disappointing to hear that Sony had decided to require membership to PSN to continue online gaming, such as COD or Battlefield, but after using it for a while I did realize there are advantages to membership besides online gameplay access. PSN members are offered discounts on almost everything - games, movies, avatars, and other add-ons. I also enjoyed the discounted pricing for longer term membership cards such as the 12 month term.

Not that you need PlayStation plus to enjoy PlayStation, but in order to get the best out of whatever PlayStation device you own I would recommend subscribing to PlayStation plus. It is also a bargain to purchase the 12 month card.

Definitely a must buy with the PS4. You can play online with other people and you get discounts on games and there are free games every month. Better buy it now because on September 22nd it will go up $10 to $59.99 for the 12 month.

In order to get the full experience out of your Playstation devices...this is a must. I recommend just getting the year membership. Opens up endless possibilities when using your device. Price is a little stiff, but what isn't expensive these days.

I like how the membership is on a card so i do not have to enter my card information through the game. I also like how it's not an automatic payment I can just do buy another year membership if I want to or ask for it as a gift around the holidays.

This is a must have for any PS4 owner. You get free games each months and it allows you to play games online. You also get discounts on many games each month in the PS Store. Very pleased with the value of having PlayStation Plus.

We went in to purchase a 12 month card and could not find it so we were going to purchase a less expensive one for a shorter term. We asked an employee and he was very helpful in finding the correct one for us. Thank you Best Buy!!!

For the value of around $50.00. You cannot beat this. I use this to play on-line against other players. I use it to download my free 2 games a month even if most of the time the game is not my interest. You still get you monies worth.

needed to play online and update or share your games and join in with friends. always easy to set up and get started or continue on with library. online content is good but could be expanded.

For 60 bucks you get a year of service and with all the discounts and free games each month it pays for itself in no time. You need this to play most games anyways so the free stuff is an added bonus.

PS3 was free for multiplayer. It is needed for the PS4. They do give free games for the PS4, PS3, & Vita.

Ps+, in my opinion, is much better than Xbox live. You get a better value for the same price. Free and discounted games, themes, add-ons etc. Also, it's necessary for online play on the ps4 but for the extras I'm getting, I'm glad to pay $50 a year.

My son is glad he got this with his Playstation because he loves all the extras it gives him. He had played a lot since he's been out of college for the summer and I'm sure it will be used a lot during downtime once college starts back this fall.

I enjoyed this playstation 12 month membership. I learned some new things about games from it. I got to play trials of games so I could decide if I wanted to buy them or not. It makes a nice gift for your loved one who'sa gamer.

What can be said about PS+ besides how awesome it is. Especially if you own multiple systems. It allows you to get awesome games for free even if it is a rental. It also allows you to play online with the ps4! Was a great price on Black Friday also.

A much needed gift for my son. Since the pricing went up to $60, some store still has some $50 ones left. A great salesperson looked high and low for me and he finally found 10 inn the store..yippee, I was able to get for $50
