purchased this so my grandson could play his games with friends on line. Was a better value than the 3 month subscriptions.

I was able to get this on sale for Christmas and well worth it! The kids enjoy the yearly subscription and mom saves money!

This is a great service that's starting to compete with Xbox Live Gold. Now that you have to subscribe to Playstation Plus, Sony has significantly improved the multiplayer party system. With the inclusion of free games and other perks, I feel that the service is worth the price.

So when it was announced that there will be a price hike for playstation + I jumped at the opportunity to grab a couple. This way the price hike will only affect me a little over two years from now.
