Ordered this for my child. Didn't arrive as quickly as I had hoped, but she was pleased just the same. She loves PS3 and hope she can use it once her PS4 arrives? Looks like other stores had same offer, but I selected Best Buy.

I don't love the PlayStation Network. It's down far too often. But having a PS Plus membership has become a necessary evil of owning a PlayStation 4, without it you have no access to the majority of multiplayer games. PS Plus also entitles you to a monthly selection of "free" games and added discounts on what tend to be lackluster PlayStation store sales. The value you receive from a PS Plus membership is directly related to your level of multiplayer gaming. Infrequent online players might be better served purchasing membership for shorter time frames but at a slightly higher monthly cost.

When you buy a playstation plus you get monthly free games. Online gaming is just as good as Xbox live.
