39.99$ my subscription ends july 8th, been hoping it went on sale before then, perfect timing bought it today. It is a must have as many others have mentioned free games every month essentially pays itself off and get to play online

the free games are nice and seem to be better recently (injustice in december 2014, infamous: first light in january 2015) it is required for multiplayer play for the PS4. the ps3 games are usually pretty good, but usually very old (1.5-3 yrs old) if you don't buy lots of games and just have a PS3 you will get your monies worth just from the free games but to get the most out of it you should have a PS4, vita or psp.

Love to get my PS Plus membership cards at Best Buy. Their customer service is great, and they always have the 12-month membership card in stock. If you need anything for your Playstation, go to Best Buy. They will help you out.

This definitely serves its purpose. I ordered it from Best Buy and it came in 2 days right before my yearly membership expired. I would love for the PSN to give out better free games for the PS4 but all I do is play COD anyway.

There are many free and discounted games, game add-ons, skins, and playstation themes available with this service, so it is worth the investment if you game enough. They are updated every week, if you are away and miss a promotion there is no way I know of to go back and claim it, though. You do have the ability to re-download anything you have successfully purchased, so you aren't required to store all the free content to have access to it. If your subscription lapses, you will lose the free things, but the items purchased on discount will be kept associated with your account. For the PS4 this also enables online play, but the other sony systems don't require the service to play online. You only need on subscription per account, it is not tied to your hardware. There are some smaller services like trials of several games, automatic downloading for hardware updates, priority access to betas, and online storage for game saves. These services aren't that great but worth mentioning. There is also a marker placed on your username online to indicate you subscribe to playstation plus, it doesn't do anything else, but it is something to be aware of. This is currently not required to access any 3rd party online services, like netflix, hulu plus, and amazon prime; other consoles may require a premium subscription to use such services but currently none of Sony's do. Currently there don't seem to be free or discounted offerings on Music, TV shows, or movies which are also sold in the playstation store but that may change in the future. There was a code for a 1 month trial of epix which is a 3rd party movie service, but nothing as regular as the gaming promotions. The service is worth the price for me, but it may not be worth it for you, look at the current and past promotions and make your own decision based on how much you game. The playstation store will list current promotions and many websites list previous promotions. If you prefer less-popular titles, if you don't play many games, or if you purchase everything on the day it is released, it may not be worth the investment; but if you are patient but still want variety in your games, this will pay off.

Considering the amount of free games you get every month across all platforms (I currently own a PS$, PS3, PS Vita), this is a no-brainer. As long as you renew on time every year, your games library is yours forever.

PS+ is a great value now more so than ever. If you have any investment in the playstation ecosystem then ps+ is a great deal. You get free titles for ps4, ps3, and vita as well as online multiplayer access on ps4. As a note, games you download for free through this service only are free for the life of the subscription. If it lapses, you will not have access to those titles, but if you sign back up, you will get access to those previous games you downloaded. Great deal and would recommend to most people.

I purchased this at Bestbuy because they let me use my Bestbuy Rewards and they also do not charge tax like some retailers mistakenly do. This is a Membership therefore you shouldn't be charged tax on this item.

I would recommend anyone who has a playstation to get PS plus. It gives you access to great games every month. Because of this service I have picked up games that I wouldn't have gotten on my own.

Probably the best subscription I have ever bought! It has more that paid for itself with the free games it offers every month. Although you won't get brand new releases for free it doesn't give you B-list games. Just a few I have gotten. Were borderlands, RE5 gold edition and bioshock 2. Now the only catch is that if you cancel your membership you can no longer access the free games. But in my opinion its worth keeping as long as you have your system. Also the cloud storage is a huge plus!

A must for any PS4 Owners. Most games keep their fun/addictiveness in the multiplayer. Plus the free Games every month is a nice added feature!

I was uncertain in buying it but I got it for playing online with friends and it was definitely worth buying. You receive good discount on the playstation store and you play online with friends.

This is the best way to get PSN. I never like putting my CC info into my PS4 or XB1 for purchases...You are better off buying the cards from a local store and inputting that info instead.

Like the title says, it's necessary to play online and you get free games. You usually get two free games a month. Note you can only play those games if you keep your membership.

Playstation Plus is required for online play with PS4. Every month you get 9 to 12 free games spread across PS4, PS3 and PSVita. You also get discounts on top of sale prices.

Although I'm not happy that PS4 now requires you to pay for the "privilege to play online by enrolling in the Playstation Plus membership, it does give you free games (for the life of the membership), online storage and some other benefits. Just doesn't feel right to have to pay to use a feature that was purchased with the game.

Playstation Plus may be one of the best deals in gaming. If you own a Playstation 3, Vita, and/or Playstation 4 you will get tons of free games over the year of the membership plus additional discounts on most Playstation digital game sales. True, you only keep the free games for as long as you remain a member. But once you have it for a year and see how many games you get for free you will want to renew anyway!

The PS network card is great deal. I normally would not have upgraded to the pay service, but with PS4 coming up soon and all the free games from PS+ for my PS3. I already have 5 free games in my first month as a PS+ subscriber. I plan on getting a PS4 sometime next year, so I'll be ready to carry over my membership. Hopefully the PS3 games from PS+ will be carried over to the PS4 later down the road.
