... you have a PS4, PS3, and Vita because of the "free games." Ever since online multiplayer required a PS Plus membership, the Instant Game Collection has been terrible compared to before the requirement. Think of it as triple-dipping to make the disappointment and hurt less. ... you play online multiplayer on the PS4. If you're on PS3 and/or Vita only, then lucky you, but why are you even buying a PS Plus membership? (see below) ... you want additional discounts on games. This is where the membership CAN pay for itself. You get special PS Plus members-only sales/discounts AND you get to keep the game (because it's a purchase and not a monthly freebie) even after your PS Plus membership expires. The only problem is hard drive space and zero chance for trading in or selling a game that makes you throw controllers. I have a PS4, PS3, and Vita, play online multiplayer games every day, and love discounts (digital or physical, whichever is cheaper is fine), so this PS Plus membership is geared towards someone like me.

The product is needed to play multiplayer online within the playstation network however sometimes the playstation network can be a little unreliable.

When I first bought into Playstation over Xbox, PS did not require to pay for online play / multiplayer. Guess everybody else is doing it and we have no other choice... so why not charge us more??? That part sucks. However there are a few perks, like occasional free games worth trying out. A couple pretty fun ones. Some discounts too that I don't really use. But in the end, what else can you do if you want to play multiplayer with friends? Only choice.

This is a no brainer... The monthly free games you get for both PS3 and Psvita make this worth far more than what you pay... The free games offered change from month to month but are very good games (a lot of the games are A list titles just a little older)... Some games are very well known recognizable games and some are games that are gems you feel like you're discovering. The 12 month card is the way to go for cost effectiveness and bang for the Buck . Don't hesitate and when you purchase check the free games every month there are games you'll regret missing if you do... It happened to me with a game and the next month the game was back up to regular price... An amazing deal and service from Sony...

Just a PS Plus card an stuff. Plus is good, but I wish Best Buy would sell Redeemable codes by email or something instead of mailing a card.
