The PS Plus membership is needed for any online game including Destiny which is great. Get a year for cheapest price per month.

Playstation plus is an awesome way to have full access to a year of free and discounted games, access to exclusive time trials, open beta testing, and much more. For a gamer like me, it's the best investment. For less then the cost of a video game, you get at least one free game download per month! I highly recommend it to any playstation gamer.

PS+ feels like a great value, even at full MSRP. Every PlayStation owner should have Plus just for the monthly free games.
