Overall works OK

Being used by an elderly person who has problems with the on/off switch being on side of unit as a slide switch with the AM/FM switch instead of being incorporated in the volume switch as was the previous Sony model. Overall works OK as a portable and emergency use radio.

Best Buy and Sony were the answers! I like this radio. The battery power and tuning lights are helpful. It was in stock for quick pick-up.

The reception can be spotty, however, and takes multiple times of moving the dial for it to be optimal. I use it when walking and have it in a case so am not able to open the antenna.
