Love my transistor radio! You can’t beat a Sony. I purchased two lesser brands from Amazon but they didn’t hold the channel. I broke down and paid $20 for this tiny radio but it was worth it.

I try it, Today on Sony radio and it is not bad at all. Same radio size, Just like Radio Shack radio back in 1990 that I still have it with me. Today is a little different with outside antenna radio, Instead of inside antenna radio. Good radio sound. And good radio audio.

The only problem is, I expected it to be able to be plugged in to an outlet (one review said it could be). But there is no cord and no way to plug it in.

It works fine in the garage. that is what it was purchased for, but it gets 4 stars because the antenna broke off the second day of use. I would recommend this except for the antenna breaking. We have rigged it up to work with a small antenna we had.

Years ago, I had a radio like this, and was glad to see they are still making it. I mostly listen to the radio on my phone or computer. But it's good to have a back-up in case the internet goes down.

My wife likes to listen to am radio, but our furnace has a fasco indusor motor that puts out a lot of static, which they deny, but only in the winter, not in the summer, when only the AC is running, but she is able to hear it in the winter when the fasco is on.

It is a convenient radio to use a to home or in the car when the card radio isn't working. For these types of radios though, it can be annoying trying to get the right frequency for the radio station you want.

Gave as gift. Very small. Not my taste, but my sister liked it. Sound not so good.

Nice little extra amfm radio to have around, just in case. I used it already to find sources of EMI in the home when tuned to an unused AM frequency. It sounds fine I didn’t expect hifi.

I keep this radio in my little second bathroom to listen to traffic and weather while getting ready for work in the morning. Also, I like to have this little radio Incase of a storm power outage. It uses 2 AA batteries.

So, it’s fine. I can get some FM stations and one or two AM stations. I bought the radio to hopefully pick up baseball from the closest city, but alas, nothing but static on those stations. Am I too far out in the country? Very possibly. I did bring the radio with me on a trip to the city and still couldn’t get the biggest bandwidth AM radio station clearly, so that’s problematic.

It is of great convenience when there's no power for not definite time.

Not an easy radio to use. It is hard to get the precise station that you want to hear. Not user friendly and, frankly, I'm disappointed.

This radio was perfect to replace the roughly 30-year-old Sony Walkman that finally wore out. Its size and radio reception are excellent. I use it every day when I go outside. The price was great. I'm a happy camper.

A simple battery powered am/fm Radio.Bought this for hurricane season.I hope I never need to use it.

I bough this to use at a drive-in concert but the sound quality was okay when connected to an external speaker using the headphone jack. It wasn't perfect but it did the job.

We were looking for a small radio to stay connected to emergency notices when the electricity is shut off. This one fits the bill, and we found out it's got good sound too. Sony makes quality products, even little ones.

A powerful radio, producing volume much louder than its small size would suggest. The sound from the unit more than fills a medium sized room, which was plenty for use in my car when attending a drive-in recently.

Get yourself some rechargeable batteries and your are square. Even though some phones have Fm capabilities it’s a nice retro accessory that could be useful if you do not have cellular service, that would be the least of your worries
