Great little handheld radio that gets good reception. Good sound quality & only needs AA batteries as opposed to larger batteries

I picked this Portable Radio to use at a drive in movie theater. I was a little worried after reading some reviews that said this radio couldn't pick up the signal for their movie but it worked great. You might need to turn the dial slowly to pick up your signal but once we got it tuned to the right frequency, it never lost the signal once during the whole movie. What surprised me was that I also brought a speaker with audio cables, in case the sound from the radio wouldn't be loud enough (the theater is located next to a busy road and train tracks) but we never had trouble hearing it and didn't end up needing to use the speakers. Overall, this is a great portable radio, especially for drive in theaters and it's a steal at $20. It was also kind of funny hearing all the cars around us having to start their engines every 30 minutes to make sure their car batteries wouldn't die.

We bought this radio for my father-in-law who has tinnitus. He needs to always have a radio nearby to block out the ringing. This was the perfect solution. He can easily fit it in his pocket or hold it. It gets great reception and good volume. Great product for the money.

I love this little radio. It lasts forever using minimal batteries and is very portable. It gets pretty loud too. Great for when you're doing a job up on a ladder, or when you're packing light for the beach or camping.

I bought this radio to tune specifically to a few favorite stations, to listen while at work and to listen at the Dodger games. The size is nice and it generally works pretty well. But, it does not tune to stations at the far ends of the dial and the volume is not loud enough for ball games. I had to hold the radio near my face to hear the broadcast over the crowd noise. I could tune zero stations inside my work building so that was bad. I guess Sony doesn't make high quality products like they used to. I ultimately returned the radio for a refund.

I bought this radio to have as an emergency radio for storm/hurricane/power outage times. It works great, antenna and reception is very good, battery lasts long, the sound quality is decent, and its size is perfect.

Alright, I already know most of those under the age of 50 asking why do I need a portable AM\FM radio, since I have my phone always with me.
