A great buy...wish it played louder when using it outdoors.

The technician assured me it was loud, even demonstrated so, and i beliebed het but its very diappointing how low the volume is even after i adjusted it as well as adjusting my smartphone.

I thought the speaker sounded okay in the store, but was shocked with how well it sounded in my garage. For the price and size of this speaker you're really getting your moneys worth, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a Bluetooth speaker and don't want to spend over $100.00. I'm happy I went with this brand over others that were twice as much, and it has served me well for almost six months now. Love the fact that the speakers were on display in Bestbuy, so I could test each one before making my final decision. We had a sony dock that broke so we went in to purchase another. We came across this little speaker and loved the portability and Bluetooth option. It's incredible how much sound can come out of this tiny speaker! We are pleased with our purchase.

I liked the outside of the speaker but was not satisfied due to the volume - itwas not loud enough and the battery was cheap. Wouldn't. Last long either!

Really easy to use, small, light, and produces quality sound. Everybody who has seen me using it comments on the build quality and sound. It's pretty loud too considering its size and portability. Sony still makes quality products and this is one of them. I'm very happy with this purchase and Best Buy purchasing experience and delivery was excellent.

Sounded better in the store than when I put it in the room. If you have a larger room, choose a better quality speaker.

Well first of all I scored when I bought this on sale for $70. Although even if i would of paid regular price if would totally be worth every penny. Battery life is great. Size is perfect. Sound quality blew me away. The speaker is loud aND also has great clarity. It also has a good amount of bass . Will definitely buy another one.

If you're looking for a good Bluetooth speaker for your desktop or the occasional trip to the beach/park, this does the job well. But don't expect home theater or car stereo quality from this device, and don't expect it to bring life to your parties. As a speaker, it gets the job done. Pairing with smartphones and tablets is super simple -- a lot easier than some of the other Bluetooth devices I've used. For Apple products, it seems this speaker was built specifically with the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch in mind. For Android products, it takes a few seconds to pair, but that might be more an Android issue than a speaker issue (hard to tell since I only own one Android product). Music and spoken word sound quality is pretty good. Usually where music excels spoken word doesn't and vice versa, but this speaker handles both well. Surprisingly, it sounds BETTER at higher volumes than it does at lower volumes, at least to my ears. But even at lower volumes, the sound quality is acceptable (if you're going to listen to this speaker at lower volumes, I'd recommend using an auxiliary cable between the speaker and your device since Bluetooth is less for sound quality and more for convenience). Sony has released two updated version of this speaker, both of which are available at Best Buy. In my in-store testing, I found the sound quality of both updated speakers to be on par with this speaker. Perhaps the only difference between the two is the type of Bluetooth radio used in each speaker (this one uses an older standard, Bluetooth 2.0, whereas the newest version uses Bluetooth 4.1, which handles streaming audio a bit better). For the average user, this technical specification won't matter, and at around $60 this Bluetooth speaker is a steal, especially for a Sony product.

Great for indoor use (room to room) but not as good for outdoors. The sound gets lost within 20feet or soo.

Still have not decided if I will keep it. Will check out other products.

I was attracted by the sale price of these speakers. But the sound quality was just not there. You can find better choices for a few dollars more. I returned these speakers.

I purchased this speaker on sale for $30 off and it was a great choice. In my opinion it would've been worth paying the full $99 for. It is very simply to connect to my phone and tablet via bluetooth and for the size of the speaker, the sound is very impressive. It gets pretty loud and the sound quality is very high. It sounds like your're listening to music from a nice pair of desktop speakers. It's great for partys or just listening to music while you're hanging out around the house. Awesome product.

Worked for a while and then gave out a few weeks after i bought it

This speaker is very loud for it's small size. It is also compact. I use it at the day care I work at connected with my iPod nano via bluetooth. I love it for nap time because it is so loud and doesn't skip like CD's do. All of my co workers are very jealous. The battery lasts for about 4 hours and takes 4 hours to fully charge.

Listened to this compact speaker at Best Buy and was impressed with its stereo sound quality, clarity, volume and ease of use. Fits easily into any laptop case and ready to use in seconds. I have had this speaker for a few weeks now and I gotta say I love it. The less expensive Bluetooth speakers simply are not worth purchasing. Sure you save money purchasing a lesser speaker but the quality of sound will not be pleasing and in the end you will wish you had spent the extra money. All too often I have purchased an item based on lesser cost only to later place it in a closet to collect dust, then purchase the higher priced item that I have should have bought in the first place. The other selling point of this speaker is the rechargeable internal battery. No need to purchase batteries and it comes with a simple USB power cable that with the right adapter plugs into your car power jack.

Just bought this speaker and I will tell you worth every penny that you spend. Was amazed at the quality and sound of the little guy. Bass pretty good and treble not to bad at high levels. I recommend this product.

I think the sound quality is really good but it sounded a lot louder in the actual store. I bought this as a gift for my boyfriend to use in an indoor basketball court and he says it's not loud enough over the bouncing of the basketballs but it was a good price.

I purchased this speaker so that I could enjoy music while gardening. I am very pleased with this product. The sound is crystal clear and the volume goes up fairly high without distortion. If you are looking for huge, booming sound you might want to go with a larger unit, but for its size this Bluetooth speaker is fantastic! It linked right up to my phone and is easy to use.
