This item maintains a purpose despite lacking the comforts of modernized devices. It is quaint and offers basics that some of us desire and find purposeful. I prefer listening to local radio and the available features make tuning simple and efficient. It also has a clock radio. The headphones are antiquated but that is perhaps expected. I am delighted Sony continues to make such an product. This was purchased as a replacement for a Discman that lasted close to 15 years. Also thanks to the Best Buy customer service representative who was extremely helpful.

This portable radio is so much better than the cheaper ones that I have bought. Highly recommend. - it is worth the extra price.

The reception comes in and out and may not always pick up a full signal. I use it to pick up ballgames when I can't watch them on TV.

I wasn't sure if they still made these. I love it. It sounds clear and the volume goes really high which I like when I'm walking.

The radio works well while attached to my belt even though I move around my property which usually has bad reception environment

This is a great little radio to hear games for when you can't watch them. The headphones they come with are from the 80's however.

Best Buy price was great - $5 under Amazon plus free shipping. I like having presets. Overall disappointed. I live about 3/4mi from a radio station transmitter, both AM & FM. This radio cannot discriminate so that about half of my stations are blocked out. Local/dx switch does little good. When walking, I have to hold the radio and turn toward AM stations. My prior pocket radio was not like this, but broke recently.

This seems to be a good radio for my husband to carry around the yard while his working outside, that is what we bought it for.

I have bought many of these over the years but it would to great if they had better headphones .

I was looking for an "old-fashioned" Sony Walkman radio to use while I'm walking on the treadmill or riding a bike at the gym and to my surprise they had just what I was looking for. It's Sony, but not Walkman. And I can get my favorite country western station to listen to while I'm doing my workout. It's small and clips onto the waistband of my shorts and the headphones are comfortable. I may change to earbuds at another time, but this is perfect for now. thank you Best Buy!

Just what i was looking for - it's perfect for listening while cutting the grass.

I use this devise primarily in the gym. The reception is decent most of the time, but not always. My biggest problem on previous sets has been with the headphones, which have shorted out prematurely due to sweat. Hopefully, this recent purchase will work better than previous ones. Perhaps a more durable headset can be sold with the radio....

This is a great little radio. Clips on belt, pocket, or waist band and stays put. The sound quality is excellent.

Perfect listening talk shows confident to carry and use during exercise

This product is ok for what I use it for. It does not get as many stations as I would like it to inside of my work.

AM/FM radio works fine, good sound, Sony quality. For some reason the weather bands don't work, I just get full static. Not sure what frequencies they are pre-programmed to, but I can pick them up fine on my emergency weather radio and ham radio, just not on this radio. It's nice to have something simple to listen to when going for a walk without the complication of a smartphone.

Easy to use, it's size makes it comfortable to place on belt or in jacket.

The radio hooks tight to my belt and stays out of the way while working.

Great sound and easy to carry around. Good for road trips for the kids to listen to.
