I've used these speakers on my laptop and ipod, and on both of them, they work fine. They're a good supplement to built-in laptop speakers, especially when watching movies or videos from a laptop. They don't get particularly loud, but they're good enough, and the quality is excellent. The two speakers click in together for storage and can be taken apart and set up to create more of a surround-sound feeling. One problem I have experienced with them, however, is that because the speakers split into two pieces, whenever one speaker falls or gets picked up, the other is jerked along also by the connecting cord. It's just something you have to be careful about. Otherwise, they're great and a good value for your money.
