Good overall headset and ease of use. As this is a Sony product I would expect this. There are a group of buttons/switches on the earpiece and the only thing I would have liked would be for the mute button to be easier to detect while wearing the headset

I expected better quality from Sony and having a dedicated headset. I'll just say I'm a lot more picky than most with audio and sound, and quality is a high priority. That being said, I've purchased two of these headsets. One black and one white/black to go with my two color schemes. Pros: - wireless is great, and the dongle being compatible with pc is another win. I swap between my desktop, ps5, and laptop on the go. - look is incredible, sleek, and on brand with the PS5. Fits over ear well, very comfortable and well built. - PS5 EQ for the headphones is great and I highly recommend adjusting the sound immediately. The 3D aspect of the headphones is great and it pairs very well with gaming. - holds a charge for an admirable amount of time. I game pretty heavily and I charge it about once a week. Easy to charge up with the included cable (or controller cable). the range is also good, can walk a long ways from the dongle without losing sound. - buttons on the headset itself are very useful and easy to use. Cons: - the big con for me is the audio quality itself. It defaults as muffled, and has saturated bass like it's over EQ'd. I almost returned my first pair before I found the EQ. It doesn't compare to my Hyper X Cloud II's in terms of quality. I recommend using the EQ on the PS5 to determine what sounds best for you. I tend to lower bass a bit and up the mids and highs. Once you tweak it it's enjoyable enough but not face melting.

If you think you should go for the used option to save some money, do not do it. I opted for the "Open Box-Excellent" option and what I received was disgusting. The item still arrived in one piece with the equipment needed to operate but the box was ripped, items were loosely flinging around inside the box, earcup material was coming apart, slight scratches around the head, and some weird smell. Never never buying open box or full price from Best Buy again.

Before owning these i had been using “Turtle Beach” headphones for years, but i wanted to try something “better/different” and my friend recommended these to me and i have to say, BEST DECISION EVER!!! i totally love this headphones, sound is amazingly clear and loud, mic is integrated (non-detachable) but the Mute button on the left side allows you to turn the Mic On/Off pretty easily, they’re very comfortable to use for those long gaming sessions and the battery works really well, i have played for hours without having to charge it and the price is not bad for the good quality of these headphones….. they’re really worth giving it a try , you won’t regret adding these to your collection !!! Before I get started I know these are designed for the PS5 audio technology but wanted to see how they sounded with my PS4 Pro. I currently own a hyper Cloud X2 headset. I wished the hyper Cloud X2 had more Bass but I got used to it. These are really the only headphones I can compare the Sony Pulse headphones to in the same price range. I also know the hyper Cloud X2 is not wireless and was not designed with the technology that Sony has in the pulse head phones. The games I tested these on are Shadow of the Colossus and Resident Evil 7. The headphones are lightweight, the ear cuffs are very comfortable and it does a good job of noise-canceling which the hyperx cloud II really doesn't do that much. The plug-and-play USB adapter was nearly instantaneous. It did everything it needed to without me having to do anything except to plug it in. That was pretty cool! It comes with a 3.5 mm Jack so you can plug it into other things which is how my hyperx cloud II does. By looking really hard I see that the left and right sides are marked in the black headband which leaves all the controls on the left cup. Game, chat, monitor, volume, Mic button, the charge cable plug, the audio jack, and the power button are all here. It will take some getting used to in order to use them on the fly but everything has a learning curve. Buttons seem to coincide with the system settings so you actually do not have to go into your system settings to adjust anything it seems. I was in the system settings and noticed that the levels were raised and lowered as I was using the buttons on the headset which is how I figured this out. This is because I wanted it to be louder. This will give you a pretty good setup. Last thing to let you know is that I'm not really an online gamer yet so my intentions were to have an immersive set to really get me into the games especially the horror games. However, I did try the microphone settings and they were the best I've ever heard. Truly! But, again, not into the online game in just yet but these probably would be up everyone's alley if that was the case! When playing Shadow of the Colossus the environmental sounds for the intro were absolutely amazing. I noticed a better sense of direction than my hyper Cloud X2 meaning that the effects sounded more separate from the other sounds instead of mangled. The crisp sound of the horses hooves, the direction of the wind blowing in one ear and the other as I turned, the sound of leaves in the trees blowing all were pretty phenomenal. I've been playing Resident Evil 7 for hours at a time here and there for the last 2 weeks including the DLC content. This is where I noticed that the bass sound wasn't very intense. When I compared it to my hyper Cloud X2, the Pulse did not sound as good. What I mean is, in my hyper Cloud X2 it wasn't as crisp and separated as the pulse unfortunately but the bass was definitely better. And for horror games that bass is Paramount for my experience. When I first was using my hyper Cloud X2 the bass was not that great either. Now that I've gotten used to it I guess I don't notice as much but I had a $25 onimuka headset, if I got the name right, that had really good bass and even a volume control on the headphones which my hyper Cloud X2 does not have. Anyhow, I really wish the bass was better in my hyper cloud but the bass in my hyper cloud is noticeably a lot better than the Sony Pulse headphones. Playing the end of Zoe DLC, the crisp sounds in my hyper Cloud X 2 was not as good as in the pulse but that bass really made it more intense. I purposefully got mauled by the alligators just to see how I reacted and the hyper Cloud X2 was a lot better for immersion simply because of the bass. I don't mind trading a little bit of the spatial sound and crisp sound for the extra Bass. Therefore, since I do not have a PlayStation 5 and may not get one for a while I don't really need this headset. But I can tell with what I've listened to so far that with the technology they claim to have in the PS5 this will wind up being a very awesome headset. Unless the bass will still be an issue which base seems to be an issue in a lot of headsets. For a hundred bucks I prefer to just continue to use my hyper Cloud X only because it has better bass and that is important to me. If these headphones had better bass I would definitely do a 5 star rating. But without having a PS5 I can't really say if that's just a PS4 issue or a headphone issue. I am sure that these headphones will be in stock by the time I can get a PS5 so I will most likely be returning these and picking them up again in the future when I actually have a PS5. Lastly, the volume doesn't seem as loud as My hyperx Cloud 2 at the highest volume settings so that was another thing they gave me a :-( To sum it up, the Sony Pulse 3D wireless headset has great crisp sounds on the PS4 Pro with a noticeable difference in the spatial sound separation. Plug-and-play was quick and brainless, the headset is very light and Wireless and the noise cancellation really helps keep that background noise out. Plus the microphone sound is the best I've ever heard . Unfortunately, it doesn't get as loud as my hyper Cloud X2 headphones nor is the bass very deep which cuts down on inmersion for me. And since I wanted a headphone experience and not much of an online gaming competition experience, that immersion especially for horror games needs better Bass. Knowing that these Pulse Headphones were designed for the PS5 and not the PS4 I knew it was a Gamble, I just had to cure my curiosity. I will continue to keep my hyper Cloud X2 and return these pulse headphones only because I don't expect to get a PS5 before they're back in stock on the regular. Once I read reviews about how they sound in an actual PS5, especially in regards to the bass, I can make a better decision. Button with app that bass being much better it's just not going to work for me. I rate Sony's Pulse 3D wireless headset for the PS5 as Four stars out of five

Fantastic headset! Super comfortable and the 3D sound is so helpful in games especially FPS. Also it’s nice not having a mic blocking my beer hole. Only thing I wish was that it was a little louder and had more bass for the gunshots and explosions but that’s just me. All in all a definitive 5 stars though. I’m glad I didn’t go aftermarket these are so easy to use, you just turn them on and they connect.

I'll say right off the bat, I don't know the specifics on what specs are good and what specs are bad, but I know basic stuff that the average customer wants to know. It is a bit long but I tried to get as much detail in for new buyers in as possible as the product is EXTREMELY limited right now. Feel, pretty lightweight. This combined with the padding for the ear makes it hardly noticeable. Its a comfortable headset that I have no problem running out of power in a sitting. Sound, on a scale of terrible to amazing it is pretty good. This refers to the input, what you hear. With volume controls and a party/game audio prioritizer you won't have to open a menu to hear your party or turn them down again. The audio itself is somewhere in between "2d" and surround sound. I wouldn't say it's surround sound, it seems different to my other pair of surround sound. The headset however has no soundproofing in the, earmuffs (for lack of better word), and therefore could be a problem for those wanting that (basically you can hear your surroundings in real life decently well). Audio Output, HIGHLY sensitive. Audio sounds fairly similar to my real voice, at least so I'm told. As much as there is an audio tester function, its useless as there is NO delay and winds up being an instance of, yes I can hear myself, but only if I pay attention. Anything and everything can be heard by the mic so thankfully the built in mute exists. Distance doesn't seem to bother the headset to terribly as I was able to go to my kitchen without issue. Usability and physical features, easy to figure out and not a pain at all. The buttons can be frustrating at first if you aren't used to them being on the back of the headset, but other than that every controll I would want in a headset is there, other than a personal mic volume changer so my AC doesn't constantly bother people. The length of use before charge is around 8-9 hours out of box, I haven't timed it specifically but it does last longer than most people will probably get to play, so just charge it overnight or while you do something else. I have no experience with the PS5 yet so unfortunately I have no idea what the 3D audio is supposed to be, but so far all is well. It functions fairly well on my PS4 Pro, HOWEVER I have had issues with it cutting in and out occasionally, usually just after powering on the headset or plugging in the USB "transmitter".

Quality - (10/10) the quality of the headset is very good it's will last you a while and the mic on this headset is great and very clear. Comfortability - (10/10) I wasnt a big fan of over the ear headsets but this one is very confortable I could wear wear for hours. Its also fits perfectly over the PSVR2 Price - (10/10) the price might be high but you have to take into consideration that this is a high quality headset with 3D audio its a investment for your gaming experience. Overall 10/10 I would definitely recommend and this. Also this isnt just for Playstation you could use this with anything but the cool 3D feature of the headset is only for Playstation consoles

These headphones are a must have for PS5! The 3D audio really adds to the depth and immersion of a game. They fit comfortably even with my glasses for longer periods of play. The battery life lasts for a decent amount of time. I've never had it die on me during a play session. I always charge them every night after use. Not all games benefit from the 3D audio though. Some games have a lesser implementation of it you have to activate in the settings and some don't have the option at all. But the games that do! (Which so far have mainly been Sony first party games) Have been incredible with 3D sound! The only thing I don't like about these headphones is that they still use a USB dongle like on PS4. Which means you lose one of your USB ports when using them. So you may find yourself having to swap it in and out depending on your setup. Overall they are an excellent headset for the price! The only thing I can't speak to is the quality of the mic. I don't use it much but when I have I've never had any complaints. I strongly recommend these headphones to anyone who owns a PS5 and wants good audio that can help enhance the immersion of their games. 5 out of 5 stars

Where do I begin with this review the Sony PlayStation 3-D headphones let me tell you for being a PlayStation product. It’s good quality. The years are bendable to a certain degree. They fit over the ears. When you apply them onto your head and with the headband included. There’s no pressure, over time of use your ears will get warm and hot because the leather traps in the heat when you wear them over the years, over time of use your ears will get warm and hot because the leather traps in the heat when you wear them over the ears 2 when paired with the PlayStation five itself, you must takeoff the rest mode on your PlayStation, in or in order to pair it, whether you plug it directly into the back of the PlayStation, or use a USB hub adapter to get more port. You must put the PlayStation rest mode off if you wanted to pair it and work properly other than that it will not connect, and no audio will come out, and no audio will come out I found this out by looking up online cues for the same problem, and I troubleshoot it through my audio steps into the PlayStation must keep the rest mode off in order to work. 3 the 3-D audio sound policy is awesome. You can definitely hear the next player coming behind you in any direction that you footsteps in call of duty and with the EQ set up built inside the PlayStation that works with these headphones you can adjust the sound quality and the base to each individual liking to its user for me, I like it with a little bit of heavy-based and to have more of an echo quality of a sensitivity direction to get a bit of sense of where the next player is coming from and where the bullet shots are coming from but when playing a racing game the engines to echo around and playing marvel, Spider-Man you definitely get that spatial sense of being surrounded in 3-D audio 4 The battery life 30 hours to 35 hours of playtime on a full single charge whether you play 30 hours straight or use it for every three hour play streaming session like I do off of a single charge you get 30 hours of battery life and the battery indicator does tell you when it does get low and if you want these headphones, please update your PlayStation, its new firmware, because they just corrected and enhance the audio output for these headphones and Adobe at sound My only for these headphones is the fact that we for a long time we do get warm so your ears feel kind of toasty and if you do wear glasses, it won’t compress your glasses any further, but you will feel some discomfort after long use so it’s good when you wear them so we get your skin but don’t play these on high high volume if you have sensitive ears because the are Strong so that’s my only kind that it makes your ears feel warm after long use Overall for the price of 150 Sony, PlayStation has put in the research to make these headphones, pretty awesome and being a headphone guy myself that’s tried a bunch of different brands for headphones from music and gaming audio and as a streamer, I do use the PlayStation 3-D pulse while I’m streaming from my consul so if you’re looking for a budget, friendly headphones, these are it if you are streamer or just playing online, these are decent headphones to have for just a starter or at least a mid range budget if you don’t wanna break the bank so I highly recommend 100%

So I purchased these as a birthday gift for myself. They are quite stylish. Light weight and easy to use. The 3D audio is amazing!! The sound overall is great. I just wish they a bit more on the low end. Very comfortable to wear. A definite purchase!! AAA+++
