Clear voice quality. I use to make notes and can clearly understand the playback.

I have been using a cassette recorder for the last 25 years. I thought I'd upgrade to digital. This is not a user friendly device. not intuitive at all. This might be good if you are wanting to import files to the pc. - during playback, you can't rewind a few seconds if you missed something. You have to start all over from the beginning. - if you are playing a file back, you should be able to stop and immediately delete. But no, you have to go through an elaborate menu system just to delete.

I used this device to record a seminar recently. The playback quality was remarkably good. I would recommend this for taping classroom lectures if allowed!

Make sure to read description, this is a minimal but great digital voice recorder. Not very flashy on feature but works great and battery like is good.

The interface and screen will make you feel like you're in 1999 again...but once you get the hang of it, it works quite well. Especially with external microphones.
