    Jeese,the sony a7rii eats these up fast,in my opinion..need at least 3 or 4 of these to shoot all day photos...

    I love the size and weight of the W type battery, but thats all offset by having to carry extra batteries. I use the vertical grip, which holds 2 W size batteries. After being in the field for a few of hours, I frequently saw the batteries run completely down. I could not shoot all day, even with the dual battery setup. So, I carried 4 batteries - just to be sure.

    Cost is higher than what i think battery should be but worth going with Sony vs nonfactory option. Should have at least one back up battery.

    Simply put, the NP-FW50 by Sony is the right battery for the Sony a6500 camera. No messing about with third party brands and Sony keeps the charge, lasts a long time shooting video, and works great.

    I have an NEX7 camera but the battery life is quite short. This extra battery lets me use the camera without having to constantly monitor the battery life.
