This battery is the standard battery pack used by many of Sony's DSLT/DSLR cameras. While you can certainly go to a third-party manufacturer to save some money, it's important to remember that camera batteries are precision devices that can damage a camera if it malfunctions. Cheap batteries often don't charge as quickly or fully, hold a charge as long nor offer the right chips to report battery life correctly to the camera's diagnostic systems. It's worth the extra cost to insure that you get a battery that works properly and won't damage your expensive camera.

My sony A5000 lasts more than a day with this battery. I have never had a camera last so long taking pictures and videos

This works exactly as I wanted. I have an A6300. This is the great stand by for my original has tapped out.

Always carry extra batteries with me and this holds charge just as good as the original.

Quality battery. I haven’t tested to see if it lasts longer than much cheaper 3rd party batteries. I have two just to say I have the correct manufacture battery. But I can get 3 3rd party batteries for the price of one Sony, and there’s been no difference in quality.

It's a small battery, but despite that, it is a very reliable small battery. I got this one as an extra for my Sony a6000.

Holds charge well, same as the original. Don’t waste your money on cheap knockoffs that won’t last.
