does what its supposed to do, can handle a camera very well under high load

I needed a additional battery and charger for one of our NEX 5 Series cameras. I decided to purchase a Sony project instead of an aftermarket version. I'm glad that I did both the charger and battery are working great. I'd do the same thing again.

This battery does what it needs to do. On the Sony Alpha series, I'm not sure how 3rd party batteries last. This one doesn't have the most lasting battery life though. Compared to my 6D, this battery doesn't last long at all. Unless you're shooting all day, you should have a few spares. Best thing to do, is to shut the camera off while not in use to preserve the most out of it.

Customer service agent lied to me about being located in the Orlando office (they were actually in India). They also lied about this camera battery being a fit for my Panasonic camera. She said whatever she could to close the sale. She even became aggressive; pressuring me to make the purchase over the phone and assuring me she would help me ensure it was a good fit once I got to the store (when I got there no one even knew who she was because she was in India). The only reason she was able to convince to believe something so silly and talk me into making the purchase was because I first verified that she was an Actual employee of Best Buy. I thought to myself “Best Buy is a well-known, reputable brand”, so even though this feels scammy, she is in FACT a Best Buy employee. I’m disappointed you, Best Buy. You’ve lost a great deal of my trust due to this experience. Forgot to mention the manager of the store almost didn’t give me a refund saying “you can’t return batteries”—even though I never left the store. What a nightmare.

10/10 with assistance. I was so lost in the store then BOOM a best buy assistant came out of no where to save the day and help me buy camera accessories.

Great little batteries. Works well with the Sony camera.

They hold the charge for quite sometime. It takes 3 plus hours to be ready.

Always good to have an extra battery, especially with the a7 because oi the WiFi. I suggest putting the camera in airplane mode before going out to shoot as it will really deplete the battery if left on. Like I said, always smart to have an extra battery.

It costs more but it lasts longer when compare with after market models.

I needed another battery for the camera and this is the one available. Works good.

Excellent choice. Although after market batteries are much cheaper, it comes at the expense of faster power depletion and incompatibilty issues. Don't let your workflow suffer, go with an original Sony battery.

Purchased as a back up for my Sony A7ii. The Sony A7ii doesn't have great battery life so a backup battery was needed. I can easily make it through a full day now with 2 batteries and not have to worry about it.

I purchased an off brand extra battery when I purchased my Sony camera from Best Buy. The price was considerably lower but it also "died" in about one year. I learnt a big lesion as I was ready to shoot a wedding and had no power.
