I wanted to have the ability to go out for a day and shoot photos without the possibility of running low on battery power. So, I purchased the spare battery, and I will never go back to just one battery in my bag again! Totally worth the extra money spent to purchase this!

The battery last for a pretty long time. I don’t recommend buying the knockoff brands.

This battery lasts so much longer than aftermarket batteries of the same spec. Highly recommended!

I have bought many third party batteries for my Sony alphas and they don't last. So since my 2016 NP-FW50 was still going strong, I decided to finally pony up the cash for three more OEM batteries. I can't in good conscience give 5 stars though considering the price.

I don't have too much to say about this since it's just a second battery. Same one as the original, BUT! I didn't realize how much the capacity of the original one had diminished until I popped this one in. I shot an entire wedding for a friend on just this battery.

When I first purchased extra batteries other than the original Sony that came with the camera, I went with the largest online company and got several non-Sony brand batteries for the price of one Sony NP FW50 and I was happy. After 6 months I noticed that the off brand cheaper batteries started losing charge very quickly, in some cases after 30 minutes of taking pictures. This is my fifth Sony FW50 and on an extensive weekend shoot, will use all 5. Also have four non-Sony brand batteries advertised as having more power and longevity. It is only true for the initial months, not long term. Don't even use the off brand anymore. The good deal was not a good deal. Stick with Sony and Best Buy has the one you need or can order and have it in no time.

Charges quickly and keeps charge for months if not used frequently

Ive had both stock Sony batteries and wasabi knock offs. I just love the Sony battery so much more, and have always bought Sony accessories for all of the Sony camcorders I have had over the years. Great battery with excellent customer service.

I really like this battery for my sony it takes longer to drain the energy.

I have had no problem with this product. In case I should find something to take several pictures of, then find something else, and that is the time you do not want your battery to die, so I bought two. So far I have had to use only one. It seems to hold charge very well.

This battery is the standard for the camera. It holds a good charge. Haven’t had any problems. My camera came with one, but I bought this as a backup for my trip. I never needed it because the battery stayed charged for a while.

Can't go wrong with a genuine back up battery. Price is a little expensive but at least you know you're getting quality. Hard to shift through all the reviews of aftermarket ones to find one that is just "okay".

I always get official Sony batteries, and I know they may cost more than quite good batteries from other companies, so I'm probably overpaying for peace of mind. That said, the battery works as it's supposed to, and the price is in line with what it costs from any other vendor. It's just handy to be able to stop by the store and pick one up if I need one on short notice.

The battery power last a very long time. I bought this for back up for a trip to the big Island of Hawaii. There are no specialty shops or best buy there. I plan to take lots of pictures and videos and do not want to be slowed down waiting on charging a battery

Purchase camera on an open box deal. The battery was not include, so I purchased this battery.

The battery is amazing! Works for all my Sony cameras. I highly recommend getting this battery.
