THe battery for my Sony camera lasts a long time - several days. Does not seem to discharge overnight when just sitting there.

I am able to use a fully charged battery for 6 hrs of continual use. Because I use this for wrestling tournaments and family vacations i needed a second battery for back up. Now I last all day. Im not using the flash for any of this.

Product is solid. Takes about 3hrs and 20 minutes to fully charge it. I think it lasts larger than non-brand names.

This battery is the standard battery pack used by many of Sony's DSLT/DSLR cameras. While you can certainly go to a third-party manufacturer to save some money, it's important to remember that camera batteries are precision devices that can damage a camera if it malfunctions. Cheap batteries often don't charge as quickly or fully, hold a charge as long nor offer the right chips to report battery life correctly to the camera's diagnostic systems. It's worth the extra cost to insure that you get a battery that works properly and won't damage your expensive camera.

It’s alwaya great to have extra batteries for a camera, and especially when you have a double pack battery grip.

It is nearly a "must have" . If you plan on shooting a lot of pictures or just don't want to risk your camera running out of juice right when a great shot presents its self, have at least one back up battery.
