Bought this as a spare for a trip to Africa. Went with Sony because I didn't want to risk an off-brand battery. Over the life of the camera (Sony a6000) and battery the difference is minimal. I learned long ago not to skimp for critical items.

If you're using the wifi features on the a6000 often, highly recommend carrying around the spare battery and separate charger. It'll keep you going all day. Using the wifi features (like beaming images or remote control on the phone) will eat up quite a bit of power.

Bought this as a second battery, as batteries doesn't last very long during shoots. Hope it wont cause any issues any time soon. Couldn't trust any online sellers as there are too many reviews about getting fake products or warranty/support issues.

These batteries powered up my camera, so yeah, I guess they're working great! They don't come charged out of the box, but why would you expect them to? They'd just die in the package while sitting in a warehouse somewhere. Think about it.

Came in so handy. Loved that I could just replace the battery and keep on shooting.

Its good to know I can always get official Sony batteries at my local Best Buy..

The only downside I see against the Sony Mirrorless camera's is that the battery life is no where near the capacity of other DSLR's. But these batteries are small enough to carry a few extra and who doesn't already have a few extra batteries anyway, am I right?

These little batteries die so fast especially if you're doing video. I have about 7 of them for my a7s and I still want a few more. I never go off brand with batteries going in my cameras though so there really isn't any other option.

This battery does what it needs to do. On the Sony Alpha series, I'm not sure how 3rd party batteries last. This one doesn't have the most lasting battery life though. Compared to my 6D, this battery doesn't last long at all. Unless you're shooting all day, you should have a few spares. Best thing to do, is to shut the camera off while not in use to preserve the most out of it.

I needed a additional battery and charger for one of our NEX 5 Series cameras. I decided to purchase a Sony project instead of an aftermarket version. I'm glad that I did both the charger and battery are working great. I'd do the same thing again.

Needed to do video shoot and needed an extra battery to keep rolling.

I neeed a battery and it lasts a long time would recommend

if you take many pictures or traveler, you should spare batter. No excuses because your battery died.
