By downloading the Sony Music Center app, you will find all sorts of tools to fine-tune the speaker using the built-in EQ to ensure optimal listening experience. You can change the sound quality via a 7-band equalizer and the ULT button provides signature ULT sound quality to the listener, enhancing the music with one different sound modes. You may also find different devices will perform better than others, as will different apps due to different types of audio compression and transmission. To experience a rich sense of presence. you can also connect two ULT FIELD 1 speakers via Bluetooth to activate stereo sound (left and right). We are sorry to hear that the SRS-ULT10 speaker, while being a "nice enough" speaker, did not quite deliver the rich sound profile you prefer and that you ultimately decided to return it. We appreciate you giving our ULT POWER SOUND series a try.

You are absolutely right that sound is a matter of personal preference. We designed the ULT10 to offer a powerful, deep bass experience in a highly portable package. However, we understand that listeners who are accustomed to the distinct sound signatures of JBL and Bose may be looking for a different acoustic balance.
