OK, but could be better
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This version of the Sony 'Walkman' is slightly different from their earlier models. The play / pause button in the center of the circle has a slight depression, and the right and left sides of the circle have small tactile dots. It doesn't sound like much, but those improvements make it much easier to use the controls without actually having to look down at it. Unfortunately, Sony also decided to remove the small sliding 'Hold' switch which use to be on the side of the device, which prevented the player from being turned on unintentionally while it was (eg) in your pocket. Now, to turn off 'hold' use must press down and hold the 'Option' button for about 5 seconds....EVERY SINGLE TIME you turn the player on or off, or even take it off of pause for anything longer than a slight delay. It's a poor design....the older version was better in this regard.
