We are extremely pleased to hear you are enjoying the incredible audio and it completes your home theater setup. To ensure sound is being output from both the speaker system and the optional rear speakers, press the IMMERSIVE AE to turn on the Immersive Audio Enhancement function, the speaker system upmixes audio signals, and sound is output from all speakers. For this, you may refer to the guidelines below:

• Depending on the combination of the setting of SOUND FIELD and input signal, surround sound processing may not work effectively. The surround effect may be subtle, depending on the program or disc.
• To play multi-channel audio, check the digital audio output setting on the device connected to the speaker system. For details, refer to the operating instructions of the connected device.

Our deepest apologies for the issue you have, as Sony, we want to provide you always the best of our products.

We do have some settings we can try in order to check if everything is correct. Try checking the following:

A. Do a handshake:
Unplug all the devices from the Sound Bar and then let's unplug everything from the outlet for at least 2 minutes, after that, connect everything back in.

B. Perform the manual connection:
1 Press HOME.
The home menu appears on the TV screen.
2 Select [Setup] — [Advanced Settings] on the
Home menu.
3 Select [Speaker Settings] — [Wireless Speaker
Settings] — [Start manual linking].
The [Start manual linking] screen appears on the
TV screen.
4 Press LINK on the speaker.
The power indicator of the speaker that had LINK
Pressed flashes twice repeatedly in green.
5 Select [Start].
The manual link starts.
The connecting process appears on the TV screen.
To cancel the manual link, select [Cancel].
6 When [Rear Speaker (R)] and [Rear Speaker (L)]
Display [Connected], select [Finish].
7 Press.
The link is established and the power indicator of
The speakers light in green.

C. Check the volume on the sound bar remote:
The Sound bar remote (RMTAH514U) has the rear speakers volume (+/-) and you can adjust the volume with those buttons.

In addition to increasing the REAR (rear speaker volume) + button to turn up the volume, some speakers may not output sound depending on the SOUND FIELD and sound source settings combination. By pressing IMMERSIVE AE or SOUND FIELD to turn on the surround effect, the speaker system up-mixes audio signals, and sound is output from all speakers.
• HT-A7000: On the remote control, press the IMMERSIVE AE button, and select Immersive Audio Enhancement: On.
• HT-A5000/HT-A3000: On the remote control, press the SOUND FIELD button, and select Sound Field: Effect On or SF.ON.
