I was skeptical about this system due to the price but was pleasantly surprised. I couldn't justify the HT-7000 price for two more speakers and I'm happy with the HT-5000. Incredibly easy to set up. The range is excellent. The Atmos effect is incredibly pronounced. You must buy the entire system to have incredible sound. I connected the sound bar and subwoofer and thought I made a mistake with this purchase. It wasn't until I connected the rear speakers that the system came alive. Window rattling bass. Crystal clear dialogue. Music, movies, YT vids, even DTV sounds great. I have zero regrets. This is best setup besides a full component system.

I was a little nervous because it wasn't included with the soundbar but they are perfectly compatible. I just need to get the subwoofer next. True theater sound

I was hesitant to add additional speakers to my. A-3000 Sound bar, but so glad I did. The immersive experience combination created is beyond my expectation. Adding these really improves the surround of this already Amazing soundbar. The speakers are standard looking but pack a punch. While they are optional I highly recommend them.

I had to due to cord reasons, and really happy i added these. It's not going to be a true surround sound replacement, but the vast majority of people who aren't hardcore audiophiles are going to think it sounds amazing!

I have limited ability to actually test the unit as I am waiting for my Sony HTA5000 (5.1.2) to be repaired from Sony as it failed to work on powering up. I am expecting that this unit should work well once I get it paired up with the RMA'd soundbar that has yet to come back to me from November 19, 2021 (now it is Dec. 31, 2021), I will be glad to generate a more detailed addendum when I have a chance to further test.

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Essential accessory for HTA7000 soundbar, if you want you can purchase just the soundbar & if you're not satisfied with the surround effects you can add these speakers later, they're wireless (although they do need to plug into AC outlets) & setup is very easy, keep in mind that Sony is releasing new model surround speakers (SARS5) in spring/summer 2022 that will enable 360 degree spatial sound, but they will cost about $250 more than these.

Ok for surround but not a great match w\soundbar

The issue comes in that they do not get loud enough and you have to do a lot of tweaking to really enjoy surround sound with them. Also they do not support Dolby Atmos. The real knock I have against them is that tonally they do not match the sound bar at all. The sound is much thinner and higher pitches which really detracts from the surround experience. On the other hand, their big brothers the SA-RS5's are a perfect match tonally and do have a bit better output plus they are Dolby Atmos capable. Whether the additional cost is worth it to anyone is a pretty individual thing though.

If there is any room for improvement I would say Sony should have included upward-firing drivers in there to help with the spatial sound on the backside - but honestly they have a very clear sound and still make a huge impact on the surround experience. Very easy to use - just plug them in and they will automatically pair up with your new Sony flagship sound system.

Very easy to set-up and I like the way you can adjust the volume level with the HTA7000 remote. The wireless feature eliminates cord issues and gives you true 7.1 2 surround sound. The sound quality is spectacular. No need for a separate dedicated surround sound amp.

These arent battery powered, they have to be pkugged into an outlet. Not a problem for us, as we knew this and had plugs at the back of our home theater near the ceilings that works perfectly. If you need total wireless, they do have a rechargeable model that pairs with the sound bar.

Needs more power

It is nice that the only cord that I have to deal with is the power cord. I wished this speaker could be louder. The volume is already set to the highest level and I think the surround sound could use a few more decibels up.

They sound nice but I wish the volume could be adjusted more than the remote allows. They are on either side of a love seat but I can only hear the speaker I'm closest to.
