I had to due to cord reasons, and really happy i added these. It's not going to be a true surround sound replacement, but the vast majority of people who aren't hardcore audiophiles are going to think it sounds amazing!

Here i was at Best Buy Westminster waiting to check out with my new Sony Bravia Oled and i decided to give the sound set up on my televisions floor demo a whirl. Needless to say the soundbar and subwoofer and two rear speakers are made solely for the television i am purchasing. “Oooooh Weeee!!!” You should have seen the smile on my face when everything on the television seemed to come to life. I wouldn’t have yhis beautiful Sony Bravia Oled any other way. What an amazing way to watch new movies! I recommend yhese two rear speakers and yhe whole setup to everyone. By the way set up is so easy. You just download the Bravia app to your phone and follow the simple instructions. Have fun!

Ok for surround but not a great match w\soundbar

The issue comes in that they do not get loud enough and you have to do a lot of tweaking to really enjoy surround sound with them. Also they do not support Dolby Atmos. The real knock I have against them is that tonally they do not match the sound bar at all. The sound is much thinner and higher pitches which really detracts from the surround experience. On the other hand, their big brothers the SA-RS5's are a perfect match tonally and do have a bit better output plus they are Dolby Atmos capable. Whether the additional cost is worth it to anyone is a pretty individual thing though.

I was skeptical about this system due to the price but was pleasantly surprised. I couldn't justify the HT-7000 price for two more speakers and I'm happy with the HT-5000. Incredibly easy to set up. The range is excellent. The Atmos effect is incredibly pronounced. You must buy the entire system to have incredible sound. I connected the sound bar and subwoofer and thought I made a mistake with this purchase. It wasn't until I connected the rear speakers that the system came alive. Window rattling bass. Crystal clear dialogue. Music, movies, YT vids, even DTV sounds great. I have zero regrets. This is best setup besides a full component system.

Chose these over the more expensive RS5's

These also held a better wireless connection and sounded great despite lacking the extra wattage and upfiring speakers. Didn't need the rechargeable battery and RS3's use regular power cords into the wall rather than the RS5's which have a substantially larger brick plug. Sound quality differences between the two were minimal despite many reviews out there saying the RS5's are substantially better...keep in mind that both really only output surround material in movies and shows occasionally, pretty useless for music and other use cases given limited EQ options on the Sony soundbars (no option of all channel stereo, for example).

I have limited ability to actually test the unit as I am waiting for my Sony HTA5000 (5.1.2) to be repaired from Sony as it failed to work on powering up. I am expecting that this unit should work well once I get it paired up with the RMA'd soundbar that has yet to come back to me from November 19, 2021 (now it is Dec. 31, 2021), I will be glad to generate a more detailed addendum when I have a chance to further test.

The combination is really outstanding and have no complaints. But because of the great deal I got, I later added the rear speakers. WOW! These take the whole experience over the top!
