Rear Speakers for HT-A7000 Soundbar

It made a significant difference. We already owned the Sony XR85X95J television and enjoy the entire system. One remote controls everything and the rear speakers and subwoofer are wireless. Just turn on the TV with the TV remote and control everything.

The setting was interesting - the speakers need to be in view of the bar - I have them on the floor on the side of the couch - so if I loose connection I need to put them on the couch for the setup duration.

However, because of the characteristics of the rear speaker, the sound may be low depending on the playback source. To ensure that you are getting the most out of your HT-A8000 soundbar, make sure to run Sound Field Optimization on the app so that the soundbar can calibrate its performance to your environment, and that it sounds like it was engineered to be in your room. Creates good surround sound from the Sony soundbars. It was built for easy connection to the soundbars. Sony sound calibrations was very easy, soundbar also allows manual equalizer controls on the surround sound speakers.

To ensure sound is being output from both the speaker system and the optional rear speakers, press the IMMERSIVE AE to turn on the Immersive Audio Enhancement function, the speaker system upmixes audio signals, and sound is output from all speakers.

It required software update. I could not figure out how to activate it. Works great now although I'm having difficulty figuring out how to adjust speaker sound, i.e. make base more pronounced.

Wireless add-on to Sony HTA3000 3.1CH

Had I understood that these speakers do not put out sound during all times (being geared for surround content and content looking to use such rear speakers), I might not have wanted to pay so much for speakers that (seemingly) are hardly heard from. For this reason alone, I feel that the cost is too high. I have enjoyed when these speakers output sound and allowed too much time to pass to return them. Certainly, it is very easy to link/sync these speakers with the sound bar. No one should fear linking them; unless using mixed products.
