Had very good customer service when looking for the product and when checking out. The subwoofer gives rich atmospherics to any viewing experience. It really adds a whole new dimension to whatever is being viewed.

Great Subwoofer for the money.

Thanks for sharing your review and experience with the SASW3. We're glad that you like the size of the subwoofer. Your feedback about the sound quality is great appreciated. Sound quality may vary depending on the source content. Here are steps to fully utilize the subwoofer:
-Press SW volume + or BASS + on the remote control of a compatible model to increase the subwoofer volume.
-Set the night mode to off. For details, refer to the Operating Instructions supplied with a compatible model.
-If the input sources contain very little bass sound components (i.e., a TV broadcast), the sound from the subwoofer may be difficult to hear. You can check the subwoofer sound by emitting the test tone.
-If there is a device nearby that generates electromagnetic waves, such as a wireless LAN or a microwave oven in use, locate the subwoofer and a compatible model apart from it.
-If there is an obstacle between the subwoofer and a compatible model, move or remove it.
-Locate the subwoofer and a compatible model as close as possible.
-Change the [RF Channel] setting.
-Switch the network connection of the TV or Blu-ray Disc player from wireless to wired.

A Must If You Have The HT-A7000 Soundbar

I can't believe I was missing all those low, deep sounds from the HT-A7000 soundbar. I took a gamble just buying this instead of the 300W model and glad I did as this was enough to rattle my house and it's not even set to MAX.

I dont know why Sony decided to sale this speaker separately but its a must have if you bought the soundbar 5.1.2 or the 7.1.2 to match with the surround sound. If its an action scene then you will definitely feel the the bass vibration and if you are playing the Playstation then its even better. I would really recommend this if you dont mind spending the money.

Great subwoofer

This was a second unit for the master bedroom paired up to a HT-A5000 sound bar. Looking to pick up 2 sets of surround sound speakers to complete the 5.1.2 sound system. This is a good subwoofer for bedrooms, smaller family rooms without high ceilings. There is a $300 difference and you get what you paid for. I ended up returning the SW3 for the 5 because i got the 5 half price at a sale open box and Im happy with it.

Astonishingly good!

The bass is really good for a small to medium sized room. I paired it with A5000 soundbar…the bar is not what hoped for but the sub makes up for it. Tested couple of reference level 4k discs - Dark Knight and Dark Knight Rises … the bass was remarkable !!
