Solid subwoofer

It provides solid deeper bases to make the viewing experience be a bit more rich in audio. Didn’t blow me away but for the space and price, I am happy with this purchase.

Nice speakers for the price

I wasn't looking to rattle the windows -- I just wanted a better sound than my new TV was giving me and this worked very well. It sounds great!

Just right Subwoofer

Does a good job to fill in the missing deep base. Just right and doesn't constantly remind you it's there. The room is medium sized and I was worried the SW5 would shake the floor with the down firing.subwoofer. The SW3 was just right.

Excellent sub for Sony ecosystem of products!

I use with a Sony Hta-5000 and it's fantastic. Sub volume goes up to 12, but I only need to put it at 3. I live in an apartment and the bass is perfect for a medium sized living room.

A Must If You Have The HT-A7000 Soundbar

I can't believe I was missing all those low, deep sounds from the HT-A7000 soundbar. I took a gamble just buying this instead of the 300W model and glad I did as this was enough to rattle my house and it's not even set to MAX.

-Press SW volume + or BASS + on the remote control of a compatible model to increase the subwoofer volume.
-Set the night mode to off. For details, refer to the Operating Instructions supplied with a compatible model.
-If the input sources contain very little bass sound components (i.e., a TV broadcast), the sound from the subwoofer may be difficult to hear. You can check the subwoofer sound by emitting the test tone.
-If there is a device nearby that generates electromagnetic waves, such as a wireless LAN or a microwave oven in use, locate the subwoofer and a compatible model apart from it.
-If there is an obstacle between the subwoofer and a compatible model, move or remove it.
-Locate the subwoofer and a compatible model as close as possible.
-Change the [RF Channel] setting.
-Switch the network connection of the TV or Blu-ray Disc player from wireless to wired.

Feel the Bass

I dont know why Sony decided to sale this speaker separately but its a must have if you bought the soundbar 5.1.2 or the 7.1.2 to match with the surround sound. If its an action scene then you will definitely feel the the bass vibration and if you are playing the Playstation then its even better. I would really recommend this if you dont mind spending the money.

Astonishingly good!

The bass is really good for a small to medium sized room. I paired it with A5000 soundbar…the bar is not what hoped for but the sub makes up for it. Tested couple of reference level 4k discs - Dark Knight and Dark Knight Rises … the bass was remarkable !!
