Disappointed
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I compared this full system including soundbar and rear speakers against the Bose 900 sound bar, 700 bass module and rear speakers. Bose BLEW ME AWAY, this Sony lineup severely underpreformed, especially in the bass department. I would not recommend this against the Bose or the Sonos for that matter.

There's a catch
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This would be a great woofers in addition to any sound system and unfortunately it only works with certain types it has to be a newer model Sony for it to work or any other model has to have to be newer to like a 7.1 or 9.1 for you to even work properly anything less or anything that will not work

Not too impressed
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I thought adding the subwoofer would enhance the Sony Soundbar but I am not impressed by the sound quality. But.. Also, the connectivity to my Sony TV and iPhone were a bit of hassle. The sound bar and the TV did work together with the Sony remote. I had to individually power down.

Posted .Hi HDK1, We're sorry to hear that you're not impressed with the sound quality and experienced connectivity issues with your Sony TV and iPhone. We appreciate your patience in getting the soundbar and TV to work together with the Sony remote, even though you had to power them down individually.
I would recommend following the troubleshooting steps below to improve your audio listening experience:
Ensure that all devices have the latest firmware updates.
Press SW volume + or BASS + on the remote control of a soundbar to increase the subwoofer volume.
Set the night mode to off using the remote control of your soundbar.
If the input sources contain very little bass sound components (i.e., a TV broadcast), the sound from the subwoofer may be difficult to hear. You can check the subwoofer sound by emitting the test tone.

||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this along with the Sony sound bar and figured it was two times the size of my old subwoofer after plugging in everything and syncing it all together this subwoofer did not deliver any power and would not recommend this product. Constantly disconnects
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I first got this for the first two months it was really good. For the past six months I've had nothing but problems with this and the Sony HT-A5000 where they just keep disconnecting from one another. As of today they will no longer even link to one another. I will never buy another Sony product every time I do it's always something wrong with them.

I Was Surprised - Great Sound!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I paired this with the Sony HT-A5000 soundbar and Sony rear speakers (this is honestly the only way this should be done, get all 3). SETUP: Easy. Just make sure your soundbar is on, and just plug this in. It will sync right away. You will see the little LED in the front light up green. Done. Honestly, I think the only reason this produces better bass than my previous setup is because it can go up to level 9; I think I have it at level 8. I watched regular tv, and the bass stands out better than my previous setup. I streamed some movies, some with and some without Dolby Atmos, and the sub delivered. I watched some Bluray movies and the sub delivered. I watched some 4k movies, with and without Dolby Atmos and the sub really delivered! You can hear the rumbles and thumps and booms through the sub. The sound is amazing. My previous setup has more power than this, but this Sony setup (all three) produces better sound and more power (like I said, I think it is more power because of the higher levels). I love bass. It is extremely important to me, so subwoofers have to come very correct. And this sub absolutely comes correct. Overall, the total sound of all 3 pieces delivers a nice, surround and balanced and submersive sound. It is well worth it. I recommend the sub and all 3 pieces. I almost forgot to mention, I also played music through the bluetooth of the soundbar. Music sounded fine, but that is not the reason to buy this. The music sounded good, not great. Peace.

Posted .Hi JenB,
We're really sorry to hear about the trouble with your SA-SW3.
Let’s give a couple of troubleshooting steps a try to see if we can get things working:
1. Make sure the subwoofer is plugged directly into a working outlet, not a power strip or surge protector.
2. Try a different power cable if you have one handy.
3. Unplug the subwoofer for about a minute, then plug it back in.
4. Double check any wireless connections or pairing if you're using it with a soundbar. Reset and reconnect if possible.
Your unit comes with a 1-year warranty. If none of the above fixes the issue, the next step would be a repair with our authorized service center, Encompass. Find more information here: https://sony.encompass.com/parts-accessories/Sony-Repair-Services
Thanks for considering Sony products and we regret that your experience was not as expected.
Sincerely,
Estefany
